SF Happenings…
All apologies for typos and as always as close as I could get it….
OLIVIA'S OFFICE AT THE BEACON…
Nat. stops by she is all happy as is Olivia to see her. She has baby name book with her says since they know they are having a girl they should start deciding. She thinks each of then should make a list then they will narrow down the same names on each list to pick. Olivia isn't sure… Nat. says ok we can all get together and make one big list. Olivia says she needs to move slowly. Nat. laughs and says since when do you ever move slowly, you always jump right in with both feet. Olivia counters looking away then back into her eyes…yeah and the last time I did you broke my heart. The last time… Nat. says moving in closer… we both came away with something we never had before.
COMPANY…
Frank is mesmerized looking at the sonogram picture of the baby. Blake says awww Frank what a perfect little baby. He says yeah … smiling…little girl. I just want to do right by her, give her a fair shot. She says you are the best dad Frank you have the biggest heart in the world… you will love her so much you all will.
Reva walks in wheeling Colin's stroller…she says hello grandpa Frank… they smile at her… hello grandma Reva!! She says I just had to stop by and tell you how much fun we had at the party yesterday didn't we…she looks down into the stroller at what appears to be a sleeping baby Colin. She adds and to tell you I hope this all doesn't get to weird Henry being ours too. He smiles says no, no I'm just glad we know who his father is. It is an adjustment they agree but it won't be a problem b/c all each side wants to offer is love and support. She smiles and asks her big question is which one of them all will spoil him the most? Frank laughs and says well I have to spoil my little girl as well….he hands her the sonogram and she coos… little girl…awww…He adds I am going to be the most broke detective in SF. Reva says oh yeah I thought by the time I was having grandkids I'd be done having kids of my own… but I'm so glad I wasn't…she glances down at Henry.
JOSH'S OFFICE AT LEWIS CONSTRUCTION…
Josh is looking over some papers, standing back to the door, he turns around and there is a little girl standing in the doorway. He says surprised, and kindly, who are you? She says giggling her entire face lighting up with her smiling…I can't tell you my name. He is hooked… he smiles and asks well then where is your mama and dad? A voice says her dad is right here… Jonathan rounds the corner grabbing Sarah us as she sequels in delight…come here you little piglet you!! Come and says hello to your Grandpa Josh!! Josh smiles and says how do you do…Sarah? She says hi still smiling and cuddling up to Jonathan. Jonathan asks surprised huh?! Josh says yes, how long are you here have you seen Reva yet? He says no, not this time. Josh says you were here before? Jonathan says yes explaining after he heard about Jeffery he wanted to pay Reva a visit to check and be sure mom was ok. Josh says she ah…she's um…doing better these days. A lot is changed some better and some worse. Jonathan says the reason I came to you is b/c I need to ask you something and I know that you will give me a straight answer. If I wanted to come back here to live…to stay… do you think it is safe now?
CEDARS…
Lizzie and Bill rush in, in a panic followed shortly by the rest of the family they have all been called to Cedars b/c of Philip but no one is saying why just yet. Rick and Lillian come out and say that he is being prepped for surgery. They ask you found a donor an accident victim? They say no a volunteer… who? Alan… What?!
Philip and Alan meanwhile sit side by side in beds Alan says it is almost like camping the beds are about as comfortable, just the two of us. Philip smiles in response, he says dad it's not too late to change your mind you can still back out. Alan says not this time, this time I am right where I want to be. Philip says TY… his voice breaks a bit. Alan reaches over and touches his arm he says I know how you feel. Philip touches Alan's arm I/L/Y… I/L/Y too son.
Rick and Lillian explain that everything was given to Alan and he made the decision himself to volunteer. The chances are still only 50/50 that they make it alive. James says so granddad is a guinea pig…dad wants that. Rick says your father doesn't really want any of it but they talked, they understand, and ultimately they agreed. They each want to see you and talk to you first. James says I want to see dad now. Alex says ok…Lizzie you go and see your granddad…I'll be right along tell him. Everyone is very nervous.
James and Philip talk… Philip smiles and says he is glad James is there. James hopes it all works out successfully, but is hurt b/c he is perfect match and instead Philip chose Alan. He says I can do it dad I can and I want to do it!! Philip says I know son and I/L/Y for that, but I can't let you do it. James tries to speak but Philip says with Alan it is not the same thing. James says good luck dad and they hug…I mean really hug very genuine.
Lizzie walks into Alan's room…he says Elizabeth…smiling. She says granddad I don't believe you are doing this the doctor says… he says oh don't listen to Ed he is a doctor they get paid to tell people the worst that can happen. I'll be fine, and I'll be right here waiting for you, to see you as soon as I wake up. She hugs him. She says you are really brave, but I always knew you would be. Alan smiles a very sincere, proud smile at her words.
JOSH'S OFFICE AT LEWIS CONSTRUCTION…
Josh smiles as Jonathan gets a giggle Sarah with a pillow as she sits in a chair. He says she is really something. Jonathan says right isn't she?!! Josh says you did a great job raising her…dad… they smile at each other. He adds she is beautiful. Jonathan says yeah we make a great team but there are some things we can't do…family picnics, play dates, not on the run, and well I am starting to see that she needs a girl… Josh adds yes a woman's influence in her life…he nods knowing exactly what Jonathan means. Jonathan says oh sure I learned to do her hair and buy her dresses, Josh smiles at his own memories, but she needs a mom. I want her to be here with her mom but I need to know is Alan still a threat?
Josh says well with Alan nothing is ever 100% but I can say this he has relaxed a lot since Philip has come home. There have been no real 'Alan ' incidents in a long while…I don't know if it is safe…but, I do know that a lot of people would be happy to have you back and a lot, including me will help and protect you both so Sarah has a safe, happy life here. Jonathan says and that's what we want now then isn't it…he smiles and gets her with the pillow, she tips over giggling and Josh and Jonathan laugh at how cute she is.
COMPANY…
Blake and Reva talk… Blake says Henry and Colin will grow up together… Reva smiles and says yeah they will either be best friends or family rivals. Blake adds but they'll be loved… Reva says yes. Blake sits with her and says you are doing so well so much better then I was at this point after Ross died. Reva says she is but she is sad she confides to her about the pictures and exactly how many there were, and the picnic and the wedding dress. Blake says she didn't quite do that but she used to talk to him and hurry home so she could slip on one of his shirts. Reva says she is grateful for days like this where she seems so stable b/c she knows at any given moment she could fall apart again just as quickly… I will get through this. Blake touches her hand, she touches Blake's and they smile.
OLIVIA'S OFFICE AT THE BEACON…
They are still going through baby names they both seem to like the name Ivey…. Nat asks Ivey Olivia? Olivia says no way to many vowels…they smile. Nat. feels they baby move, she quickly places Olivia's hand on her tummy…Olivia smiles and Nat. says feel that… that is our baby girl. Olivia says I/L/Y and my going to the sonogram was my way of telling you that I want to be with you… but you are so much further into this then I am you are going to have to let me catch up to you. Nat. says I get it but the baby is coming and I can't stop her, I want you to be her mom too right when she gets here.
CEDARS…
Bill walks into Philip's room; he says you wanted to see me…I really don't want to take time away from the family. Philip says there is a reason I wanted to talk to you. There is a really good chance I won't make it out of here. Bill says that's why you have got to go in positive. Philip says yes but I also have to be realistic. I need them taken care of and I want you to do it. Bill says always, I will always take care of Lizzie. Philip says the rest of them too, I know that's a lot to ask but you are a guy I know that can handle it. Bill says Lizzie's family is my family. Philip says I know…they shake hands. Bill turns back and smiling he says you gotta make it now. Philip smiles back and he says I'm planning on it!!
James enters Alan's room… his eyes are closed, James turns to leave but Alan says I'm awake. He says James I found out I was a match a few days ago and I have to admit I didn't jump at it as quickly as you did son. He admits he is terrified says anyone would be and if they tell you different they are lying. James says they say there is a good chance you won't make it… Alan says they tell me that too…but I'll make it. James says you have too if you didn't I'd miss you so much!! Alan says you and I we have just recently established such a good relationship…I'll make it you an count on me.
THE MINI MART…
Olivia runs into Alex says sugar rush I get those. Alex explains that Alan is going into surgery. Olivia asks his heart again?! Alex explains what it happening. Olivia asks if she will call her so that she can keep Emma updated. Alex says of course. They lean in and almost but not quite hug.
CROSS-CREEK…
Reva is sitting on the couch with Colin playing with him. She is saying his mommy isn't as crazy as everyone thought and people always do strange things when they are sad. They are very cute together. She tells him they are going to get through it…they will miss Jeffery, but will get through all of this …yes they will…
JEFFERY AND EDMUND…
Jeffery is tailing Edmund… he follows him into a warehouse, he hears Edmund give instructions to one of his men to check the surveillance of SF to be sure Jeffery hasn't had contact with Reva. As Edmund get into the lift, Jeffery opens fire he misses, meanwhile Edmund is protected inside… Very good Mr. O'Neill… he is impressed Jeffery has caught up to him and is enjoying the cat and mouse game…is Jeffery? Jeffery says he isn't staking him he is hunting him to kill him. Edmund says sure you like it, it is so much fun. You haven't told Reva you are alive have you? Jeffery says he hasn't. Edmund says ahhh Jeffery ain't that the truth…I know b/c I have all of SF under surveillance…a tawdry little bunch!! Well, I'd better skedaddle but I look forward to seeing you again say hi to Jonathan for me as I'm sure you do…
CROSS- CREEK…
Someone pulls up, Reva gets out of her chair and says someone is her…a normal day and now there are no pictures, nothing to hide. Who could it be… there is a knock… Reva, a voice calls. She says Josh? Josh come on in. He peaks around the door grinning from ear to ear … she looks at him wondering what's up and says hi. He says hi I um…I brought you something. She can't imagine what it could be… Jonathan peeks around the door with Sarah he says hi grandma… he looks at Sarah in his arms and asks remember grandma Reva? Reva… tears in her voice says hi…hi baby… let me see you…oh look at that beautiful hair. Josh stands there watching Reva love Sarah smiling at her.
(SECOND HALF)
Reva sits with Sarah as Jonathan sits with Colin on his lap. Reva says who made you hair so pretty today? Sarah says daddy, smiling… Reva teases wow well I think your daddy has a future as a hairdresser someday… Jonathan laughs and says very funny. She is quite the jokester isn't she Sarah… Sarah laughs and agrees with him. Reva tells Sarah that she bought a whole lot of toys for Colin but he is too little yet, she says there is a box with a big teddy bear on top of it in the other room go and see. She looks at Jonathan and he says go ahead it's ok.
He remarks at how big Colin is getting she smiles and says Sarah is beautiful, she really is. He says TY. She asks how long he plans to visit… he asks I feel like more then a visit I can't get all of her needs met on the run so if we have to stay in one place it might as well be here. Reva, tears in her eyes, smiles and leans over hugging him. He says hey!!
THE BEACON…
Josh sees Olivia hi…hi… he asks how are you? She says things have been crazy with Philip and all. He says oh I know I'm sorry how is Emma holding up? She says she is very sad but she is holding up. She then tells him Philip is going to undergo a procedure that might save him today. He says that's great, that's great news. She asks and you? He says oh a couple of things are new. Let's see I became a grandfather… she says a grandfather? He says yes to Henry, apparently Shayne is his biological father… he puts his hand up and says don't ask it's too complicated. So I am the proud new grandfather of a bouncing baby one year old!! She smiles and says congrats!! She does a little move and he says she looks sexy when she does that she throws him a flirty smile…ty!! Babies change it all… Nat. is having a little girl… he looks at her and asks are you and she back together? She looks at him and he suddenly looks sad and serious… he says do it, you love her and she loves you. Grab onto that there is no reason not to do it.
CEDARS…
Rick comes out to the family and says they are sedated it should only be a minute or so then they'll go. Bill says he will go get food. Beth says she will go with him… he says no, no you stay here I'll take James with me. She says ok. He kisses Lizzie head and says see you in a minute. Alex wants to go see Alan. Lillian hugs Beth and says go see Philip… Beth looks at her she shays yeah… you have to go see him before he goes in Beth.,
Alex goes to see Alan… he says I was wondering where you were. She says she wanted to be sure Lizzie and James got o see him before… he adds I die. She says no, no I just thought they might need some closure. He smiles at Alex and says well it has been me and you since the very start hasn't it? She smiles…sadly… he says I want you to know, and I think you already do, that you are a wonderful sister. She smiles and says and you are a wonderful father to do what you are doing is heroic. He says well I just hope it works and I can save him. She says I'll let you rest, he stops her and asks do me one more favor? She says anything…he instructs…when I go…she says Alan…no… he continues… in my will there are plans for my funeral it was to be a grand finale. I don't want that anymore, what I want is my family, to be together quietly all in the same room… my ashes scattered… and you lead them in a walk down memory lane. Talk about me; all of you tell my family that I loved them very, very much. Alex in tears promises… she kisses him…awww…
Beth enters Philip's room she asks do you have time for one more visitor? He smiles and says for you…yes…he teases I could squeeze you in. She sits beside him…I hope it works he says…I hope I don't kill my father. She says well nothing has killed either one of you so far … he says you are right I think we both have a good shot to beat the odds. She bursts into tears; he takes her hand she rests her forehead on his hand holding hers in the bed… he reaches to hold onto her. He says it's … it's ok Beth…it'll be ok…come on…she looks at him tears staining her face. He says falling into her sad eyes, hurting with her, I have to tell you something. Do you remember when I kissed you at Lizzie's wedding… well I knew then…she is surprised… but for that moment when I looked into your eyes, I felt like there was nothing that could separate us. I've hurt you, made so many mistakes, way to many to even try and apologize for...but… if I make it through this I promise you Beth I will be with you and we, you and I, we will find a way back to each other. She clings to his hand…
She says Philip I… Rick rushes in and says come on we have to go now… Philip says wait looking at Beth…she says but I have to… I need to say… Rick says sorry but now. Beth leans in and Philip kisses her… slowly releasing her hand as the wheel him out he looks back at her and mouths… I love you…. She nods in tears…
In the waiting room Bill is back but no one wants to eat except Rick who finally says I'll eat one it is going to be a long day.
Beth sits with Lillian…she asks how was he. Beth says Philip was Philip more concerned with caring for me then what he was going through. Beth grows suddenly angry and says I am so angry at you. Lillian says me…why? She says b/c you knew he was sick and you never said anything to me… why? I had a right to know he was sick. Lillian says I couldn't patient confidentiality I'm in the medical profession… Beth says no shaking her head I had a right to know. I was so confused when he pulled me in close then sent me away I spent weeks that I could have been with him caring for him angry with him instead. Lillian says I am so sorry believe me it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do to you he made me promise him I wouldn't tell you. You should have known I agree I told him that. He was just so proud of you who you had become so strong and normal… oh Beth… Beth hugs Lillian as she starts to cry again…
James hands Lizzie a sandwich says let's split it, but she isn't hungry… she is touched b/c he got her a special kind she likes. They talk and she says that he needs to stop trying to figure out why things happen and use that energy t help her with mom and Aunt Alex.
CROSS-CREEK…
Jeffery calls Jonathan…he pretends it is Aubrey Reva is pleased says say hi. He says mom says hi 'Aubrey' I'm here with her and my little brother who is almost as cute as me. He explains Edmund has surveillance set up in SF so be careful. Keep an eye on Reva… will do!! Be good 'Aubrey'… He goes back to making a sandwich Reva asks him to make her one too…cute.
COMPANY…
Nat. comes in and she and Frank talk baby names…after a few he suggests Odessa a nice Greek name. She likes it kind of but suggests they just start at 'A' and circle the ones they like. H says ok but there are like a thousand names. She says they had better get started. He says can we wait and see what personality she has after she's born and match her to a name. Blake and Nat says no…she'll have a complex the must be picked before her birth. He says ok.
He and Nat. look through names. Olivia comes in and sits with Nat. he asks are you helping to pick the name? She says yes, it is our… all of our baby Frank.
CROSS-CREEK…
Reva is all smiles as she holds Colin…Jonathan holds Sarah… she says come in come in…Grandpa Josh. Josh enters smiling so proudly and holding baby Henry. She says here's you baby cousin Henry!!! Josh says wait isn't he an uncle? She says no don't even try and figure it out…way too complicated let them figure it all out themselves. They introduce Henry to Jonathan and Sarah saying it is his brother Shayne's son. Jonathan says I thought he didn't have any kids. We just found out. He says wow things happen quickly around here. Reva says yes and there is no yellow brick road out of here either once you are here you want to stay here. He smiles at Reva and Josh and says well I think we should put a blanket on the floor toss down a cookie and see who wins. Josh laughs oh no…Reva says no, no you have to fair and throw down three…I bet Sarah would win… the all laugh and smile together.
COMPANY…
Nat continues to read names but nothing is ringing Olivia's bell… Frank gets a call…the station…
Nat. slides over closer, she wants to do things right this time, she wants them to move into the farmhouse. Olivia says she needs to do it in the right time and space. Nat. says suddenly and fiercely screw time and space!! Olivia says wow…Nat. says move in before the baby is born…you and Emma…say yes. She looks into O's eyes… O says yes… Nat. says yes…getting giddy…really?! Yes really… they share a moment.
Frank comes around the corner and says get the Doris Wolfe just resigned…. They say congrats to the new Chief Of The SFPD!!!
CEDARS…
Everyone sits and waits…in tears, and sadness… to hear any news on Philip and Alan…
It isn't really love if it doesn't hurt a little…
Just don't give up on…me….
TOMORROW…
Everyone sits in anticipation waiting news on Alan and Philip…
We should have heard by now…
It just seems like it is taking longer then it really is
Josh, Reva, Jonathan and the babies/Sarah all play together at CC… Reva says well if you staying did you tell Lizzie yet? He says no she says no better time then now…
Doris in a panic says I have to find her I haven't heard from her yet… not since the day I told her…
