August 28th Cliffhanger Friday...
SF Happenings…

LEWIS CONSTRUCTION…
Josh has come into Billy's office to talk business but Billy has pleasure, namely Vanessa, on his mind. He says he needs to go prepare for his date. He has 52 dates scheduled one for every week of the year with the last being the proposal. He is going for a picnic… next date a balloon ride, and then a romantic dinner cruise… Josh smiles says wow impressive. Billy says found it online 40 romantic date ideas I only need about twelve more… then I pop the big question. He shows Josh the ring he has it in his pocket. Josh says so you are gonna walk around with it in your pocket for a year then? Billy says no he keeps it on his dresser so that each night he goes to bed and each morning he wakes up he sees it. He wants to be sure Vanessa enjoys it all.
COMPANY…
Frank has gathered all the family, some friends at Company. They all have questions about Buzz… he says Buzz is back but he sounds a bit off…he has no other answers then that. The reason they are there is to lend support. Lillian walks up and hugs him says he is such a good son.
Buzz walks in and says I'm fine Frank they all rush to hug him. He smiles and says gee I should go overseas more often. They ask about the trip…he says it was illuminating. They ask if he found what he was looking for …the treasure…he says I found something even more amazing I think…. Come outside there is someone I want you all to meet.
Remy and Cyrus stand outside… Cyrus paces, Remy says man you look like you are going on a blind date or something. Cyrus says he is trying to figure out who will be most upset. Remy warns watch out for Marina she has a mean right hook. Cyrus says I know… Remy says hey I'm only kidding…you are a part of this family now…kind of… and there is a reason Coop started this you are his brother. He didn't know that…but you are.
THE FARMHOUSE…
Nat. wants Rafe to come back…he says he can't. She smiles says sure he can. He says no he is leaving in two weeks, b/c he enlisted in the army.
Nat. is very unhappy she gets angry, cries says he needs to get out of it and she is his mother. He explains that he is eighteen and he makes his choices now. She says you should have talked to me. He says I couldn't you weren't here and I couldn't find you. Oh her face... He finally asks ma how can you expect me to respect your choices when you don't respect mine. He kisses her ok bye…I/L/Y… she sits in tears.
TOWERS…
Josh walks in and sees Vanessa at the bar. He smiles and says look at that I was looking for a beautiful woman to eat breakfast with. She smiles back and says flattery will get you everywhere. She says you eat breakfast here. He explains he is a regular at Company but he is trying to break the routine. She says she just finished a breakfast meeting and is having some coffee he is welcome to join her. He asks how business is… she says ok…but ah TV just isn't the game it once was. He says I know can't count on it these days.
Suddenly she says Josh I should have married Billy. He says what? She says I messed up the day he kidnapped me I should have married him… yes…I was mad but I didn't not want to go through with it…he was right. Josh smiles at her, wheels turning… she says I wanted to be wooed and he is wooing me with a vengeance, so romantic, but the real thing is that I love him and life is so short …I just wish that we were married now. Josh nods and smiles as he listens to her.
THE MINI MART…
Billy runs into Matt he asks if Matt knows where the pink lemonade mix is. Matt, not thrilled by the interaction, suggests it might be with the other drink mixes. He adds you don't strike me as a pink lemonade kind of guy Billy. Billy smiles and says he isn't but he knows Vanessa is and they are having a picnic. He tells him about the 52 dates and then asking her to marry him. Matt says what a plan… Billy says it is but she is worth it. He walks away as Matt agrees wholeheartedly under his breath.
COMPANY…
(I'm not sure if you all are familiar with the movie What About Bob with Richard Dryfus and Bill Murray… if you are you'll get what I'm saying if not you should look it up. Basically Cyrus is like 'Bob' Bill Murray's character… and Frank is like 'the psychiatrist' Richard Dryfus's character. Basically no matter how hard he tries 'Bob keeps turning up even becoming 'like a part of the family' until he no longer looks crazy instead the therapist does. That is very similar to what this entire Cyrus' into the family' section looks like).
Buzz makes everyone close their eyes… Frank doesn't want to go he is afraid to leave the phone…Buzz says bring it with you. He lines everyone up on the porch then he walks down and stand between Remy and Cyrus his arm on Cyrus's shoulder and says ok…ready open!! What do you see?
They see Cyrus… a lousy buss boy… and Remy who Chris adds has a lot of explaining to do. He says hi baby with a weak smile…she says don't you even!! Blake asks ok…what are we looking for? Buzz says I want you to meet Cyrus Foley… everyone thinks Buzz has totally lost it. We know who he is sweetheart…Lillian soothes making her way towards Buzz very concerned. Frank says Pop what are you doing?! Buzz says, smiling… This is Jenna's son… this is our treasure… he is a part of our family now!!
OMG… everyone…but Frank's face is priceless… lol.
Frank says he is not blood… Buzz says it doesn't matter!! Everyone is shocked…Lillian breaks the moment she hugs Cyrus and says well then welcome to the family!! He says that you I'm very fond of all of you I'll do my best to be a part of it.
Blake sneaks aside and calls Ashlee she is nearly euphoric as she says we got an ending for the book … start the last chapter...yes …I am excited!!
They are trying to get used to it…Marina says she may never get used to it… Buzz calls for a toast to Coop, Jenna, and Cyrus Foley!!
Marina hangs back beside Frank who rests his head along a pole, she asks so dad what do you think? He sighs and says you know Marina with the way our luck has been going lately it's probably 100% true. Things just keep getting better and better. She says she is going inside…he says he will be there in a minute.
His cell startles him it is a crying Natalia. Focus shifted for the moment he asks in concern, are you ok? She says no not really can you come here. He says yes, sure where are you. She says in front of the post office…he tells her to stay right there.
THE BEACON…
Olivia sees Josh in the hallway; she apologizes for jumping on him and demanding sex. He says no, no problem it's ok…fine… an image of you and another woman did not cross my mind once. He smiles, she laughs…really. He says seriously though I hope it all works out for you…or not…I just want you to be happy. He says actually the whole on top of me thing was the highlight of my day, from there it kept getting worse. She says really worse happened He says yes after that I saw Reva at the construction site. She drove up all upset wearing the wedding dress from her wedding to Jeffery. She says ah…so I was the highlight. He says you know between the two of you I think I may have sworn off women for good. She smiles and adds yes, me too. She says but really though TY, I owe you one. He says yes you do and you are going to pay me back…now…
Hmmm…
Vanessa's room…Billy comes in kisses her and says she looks wonderful…but you need to change your shoes. She asks why? He explains that they are having lunch at the gazebo right there on the grounds but first they are taking a little stroll. She says you don't have too… he smiles down at her and says hey my girl wants romance, then romance she will get. She smiles back and says ok, but I am not changing my shoes… he says ushering her out that is exactly what I said keep your shoes… she smiles, laughs. He loves it so does she!!
Josh meanwhile informs Olivia about Billy and Vanessa. He says he saw her at Towers and she does want to be married even with the pillowcase over the head thing he did. He explains Billy's plan but says Vanessa wants to be married now. They just got…Olivia says their wires crossed yeah it happens…I see. He says they are having a date at the gazebo here now…she says ok and nods… he tells her he keep the ring in his room we need to get it and hide it where she can find it and it'll force him to ask her now…today. Olivia smiles says wow you are a great matchmaker. Josh smiles back and says yeah thanks and we can sing the song together later … right now I just need your pass key to get into Billy's room. She holds up the passkey raising an eyebrow and smiling… he smiles back…ah…
OUTSIDE THE POST OFFICE…
Frank rushes to Nat…she says it isn't her or the baby it is Rafe…he enlisted. Frank says he never even mentioned it to me, she says me either. He can't go…help me. Frank says oh Nat. he is eighteen if he already signed up there is nothing any of us can do. She says no he is a boy, this is not what I wanted…he says it isn't about what you want, it is about what Rafe wants.
(SECOND HALF)
THE GAZEBO…
It is beautiful…Olivia says wow Billy did a great job… Josh says yes we Lewis boys are just full of surprises. She smiles…kind of flirty. She says ok we drop the ring in her glass and she finds it. He says but what if she doesn't see it and swallows it, or worse yet what if Billy sits here? You know he never looks at anything he eats or drinks…he'll wolfe it down and the ring will be gone forever. Olivia says here taking a flower… we will put this on her plate and then she will know to sit over here. Josh says wow you are good at this. She smiles, sexy flirty and says I know what women want. He drops the ring in and says ok let's go hide. She says what? He asks well don't you want to watch…I do. She says I do too but you…. He smiles and says like I said we Lewis boys are full of surprises.
THE MINI MART…
Remy sees Nat crying and drinking out of a carton. He asks if she is ok… she says she is pregnant all I want to do is cry…he says ah hormones. She looks at the flowers he has…he says for his wife he is in trouble. She smell them as she sobs. He says come on I know you it's more then that what's up? She explains about Rafe…he says he felt the same at his age wanted to be a protector…prove something to himself and gain direction. It might be a good thing you should be proud of him…ok…she weeps ok. He says he's gonna go before Chris changes the locks she did it once before. Nat. says ok…
COMPANY…
Daisy brings a highchair outside and sees Rafe sitting on the steps. He says it looks like a party. She says kind of and briefly explains about Cyrus. She says you are family come on in. He says no, but he does have something they need to know, especially Frank and Buzz. She says they are inside…come on in…he does.
Everyone is gathered around looking at pics. of them in Australia… so sweet. Frank rolls his eyes and walks away from the group. Blake notices and follows him.
He asks her what does everyone have amnesia about this guy around here but me? She says touching his lips ... Frank he's a good guy…come on you even took him on to help you at the station. He's part of the family…
Daisy walks in with Rafe they call him over…Remy follows with flowers…they rib him…lol. Chris says that won't work…he says baby please I was sworn to secrecy. Cyrus says it was my fault…she says no, no … Remy says don't be like that… kiss me… they tease hem. She gets the flowers but says no…no… they all laugh.
THE GAZEBO…
Olivia is trying to peek around Josh…she says hey I can't see… he says shhh stop they'll hear us. She says I can't see Josh and leans in around him.
Vanessa and Billy have a pink lemonade toast. She can't get over how nice it all is…she takes a sip. She asks Billy Lewis how is it that you know what I want…always? He says smiling back well I know you love ink lemonade… she smiles and says yes I do…and my answer is yes. Billy slightly confused but still smiling asks, ok but what's the question? She gets a fork and pics out the ring. He says what…where did you get that from? She says you saw me…you put it in my glass. She is clearly tickled by this idea. She adds and now I think you want to put it on my finger…he says grinning from ear to ear, yes!! They laugh…
Josh and Olivia both go awww….
Later Josh sits with Billy in the gazebo he smiles and asks did you figure it out yet? Billy smiles says I hope I am not dreaming b/c this was so much better then what I was thinking of. Josh explains seeing Vanessa earlier and all that she said. Then what he and Olivia did… he adds congrats!! Billy says TY and TY!! Josh says something are just meant to be… did you set a date? He says no not yet she went to tell Matt and Maureen I think she wanted him to hear it from her. Josh says she is a good woman don't screw it up this time!! Billy smiles back and says I/LY little brother. Billy says I/L/Y too… Josh kisses Billy's forehead.
Aww…. Too cute those Lewis boys!
THE PARK…
Vanessa sits on a bench Matt arrives. She says TY for coming to see me so quickly. He says are you ok? She says yes…he says ok and sits. I think I will be… he asks what's up? She says Billy and I have been seeing each other recently. Matt says yes I saw him earlier he was happy mentioned 52 dates and then asking you to marry him. She laughs says 52 dates… he didn't even make it through the first, he asked me today. Matt's face…oh my. I said yes. Oh… congrats… She says TY. I wanted to tell you first. He asks so ah…when, when is the date? She says there is no date yet but soon. He asks did you tell Maureen? She says no I will later tonight. He says ok then. She says ok and gets up to leave. He says Vanessa!! I…I you know I want you and Billy to be happy right? She touches his arm and smiles she says yes…thanks… then Vanessa turns and without looking back walks out of Matt's life…
COMPANY…
Cyrus says to Marina this must be weird. She says no not weird… odd, peculiar, freakish, troublesome but not weird. Do think it'll be ok? She says well last week I'd have said no, but after the last few days I think life hands us surprises and we learn to deal and work with them. Like you need to work a lot harder at being a better buss boy. She walks away…he smiles.
Buzz thanks Lillian for everything… she says everything? He says yeah not a lot of women would be happy if their man went chasing after a former love. She flirts so then I'm your present love? He says if you don't know that I'm not working hard enough… she pulls him into a kiss saying work harder…
Adorable… they have it goin' on!!
Out in a booth everyone still looks at pictures.
Remy and Cyrus sneak off to the side to talk…Remy feels the flowers are wearing her down. Cyrus smiles… they talk and Remy says you were meant to be a part of this family.
Daisy walks up and Cyrus asks how she feels about it. She says ok, and if you are a member of this family then you can take out the trash next he laughs. She says yeah I'm good with it…look around all of us together it is what Coop would have wanted…he'd like it. Cyrus says I hope so and they hug.
Frank congrats. Remy he says he is very proud of him. Remy smiles…he pulls everyone together… Remy says no you don't have too… Frank says yes come on… they all giggle as Lillian and Buzz come out from the back. He announces the Remy has enlisted. Remy says he leaves in two weeks. They all clap and cheer.
THE BEACON…
Nat sits on the floor in front of Olivia's room crying. Olivia kneels down all full of concern… are you ok? Nat. says yes it is Rafe… she explains what he did. She says she is scared and doesn't want someone to fix it, but wants someone … looks at O and says …you…to hold her. She feels alone and helpless… to lie there with her and tell her it'll be ok. She starts to cry harder she and Olivia hold hands.
Olivia says I don't know what you are going through I can't imagine it…I can help by writing a letter to a congress man…getting you a flight…money… a plane…but I cannot hold you, or stroke your hair, or love you like that. I can only be a friend b/c what if you leave again…Nat. says no I… O say I can't be anything but a friend…I can't…I can't do more…
THE GAZEBO…
Billy and Vanessa sit cuddled up together. Billy asks so um …how did Matt take it? She says leaning against him…he wished us well. Billy says I want to set a date; she laughs and says me too. She asks how did you know…looking into his eyes. He says I just looked at the ring and I knew it was time. She says you are really amazing. He says I won't screw it up this time… She looks at him smiling and says with total confidence… I know…they kiss…

COMPANY…
Rafe and Buzz talk… he is proud of Rafe says you will see a lot of things that will change your life horrific ones and great ones but that isn't what makes you a man…your choice to go in today is what made you a man. I'm so proud of you…he hugs him. Rafe says I'm going to go over and play poker with them before you make me cry… Buzz all teary smiles and says ok.
Lillian walks up they embrace then look at the family. She says look at them… he says our family an odd but good collection that just keeps on expanding. They both suddenly look sad… we have to hold onto each other and them…
OUTSIDE…
Josh is sitting on a bench Olivia walks by, he gets up and stops her. She smiles sadly, he says he talked to Billy and Billy was very happy he said you did a good thing… TY you are a good friend. He asks hey, looking at her trying to catch her eyes…are you ok? She says ah not so much… He asks softly do you want to talk about it? She smiles and answers shaking her head, not so much…she looks up at him and says kinda teary you are a good friend too. He says come her and puts his arm around her shoulder, she rests her head on his shoulder and they walk off together.
THE CHURCH…
Nat stands alone praying about everything and lighting candles… she needs to make decisions… asks God to please keep Rafe safe and teach him all the things she hasn't taught him yet… all the things she didn't say…AMEN….
NEXT WEEK ON GUIDING LIGHT…
Billy goes to Cross Creek to ask a smiling Reva is she will be their Matron of Honor.
Philip tries once again to get James to play BB with him. No such luck.
Philip chases James's car out of the gates to the mansion he suddenly collapses gasping for air and holding his chest.
Jeffery shows Jonathan a message from Edmund…let Reva know you are alive and I start killing the children one by one.
Buzz, Frank and Marina are visited by the bank… they have to foreclose before they go into bankruptcy…Marina closes her eyes… Frank shakes his head, Buzz looks down closing his eyes as well…

Daisy brings a highchair outside and sees Rafe sitting on the steps. He says it looks like a party. She says kind of and briefly explains about Cyrus. She says you are family come on in. He says no, but he does have something they need to know, especially Frank and Buzz. She says they are inside…come on in…he does.
Everyone is gathered around looking at pics. of them in Australia… so sweet. Frank rolls his eyes and walks away from the group. Blake notices and follows him.
He asks her what does everyone have amnesia about this guy around here but me? She says touching his lips ... Frank he's a good guy…come on you even took him on to help you at the station. He's part of the family…
Daisy walks in with Rafe they call him over…Remy follows with flowers…they rib him…lol. Chris says that won't work…he says baby please I was sworn to secrecy. Cyrus says it was my fault…she says no, no … Remy says don't be like that… kiss me… they tease hem. She gets the flowers but says no…no… they all laugh.
THE GAZEBO…
Olivia is trying to peek around Josh…she says hey I can't see… he says shhh stop they'll hear us. She says I can't see Josh and leans in around him.
Vanessa and Billy have a pink lemonade toast. She can't get over how nice it all is…she takes a sip. She asks Billy Lewis how is it that you know what I want…always? He says smiling back well I know you love ink lemonade… she smiles and says yes I do…and my answer is yes. Billy slightly confused but still smiling asks, ok but what's the question? She gets a fork and pics out the ring. He says what…where did you get that from? She says you saw me…you put it in my glass. She is clearly tickled by this idea. She adds and now I think you want to put it on my finger…he says grinning from ear to ear, yes!! They laugh…

Later Josh sits with Billy in the gazebo he smiles and asks did you figure it out yet? Billy smiles says I hope I am not dreaming b/c this was so much better then what I was thinking of. Josh explains seeing Vanessa earlier and all that she said. Then what he and Olivia did… he adds congrats!! Billy says TY and TY!! Josh says something are just meant to be… did you set a date? He says no not yet she went to tell Matt and Maureen I think she wanted him to hear it from her. Josh says she is a good woman don't screw it up this time!! Billy smiles back and says I/LY little brother. Billy says I/L/Y too… Josh kisses Billy's forehead.

Vanessa sits on a bench Matt arrives. She says TY for coming to see me so quickly. He says are you ok? She says yes…he says ok and sits. I think I will be… he asks what's up? She says Billy and I have been seeing each other recently. Matt says yes I saw him earlier he was happy mentioned 52 dates and then asking you to marry him. She laughs says 52 dates… he didn't even make it through the first, he asked me today. Matt's face…oh my. I said yes. Oh… congrats… She says TY. I wanted to tell you first. He asks so ah…when, when is the date? She says there is no date yet but soon. He asks did you tell Maureen? She says no I will later tonight. He says ok then. She says ok and gets up to leave. He says Vanessa!! I…I you know I want you and Billy to be happy right? She touches his arm and smiles she says yes…thanks… then Vanessa turns and without looking back walks out of Matt's life…

Cyrus says to Marina this must be weird. She says no not weird… odd, peculiar, freakish, troublesome but not weird. Do think it'll be ok? She says well last week I'd have said no, but after the last few days I think life hands us surprises and we learn to deal and work with them. Like you need to work a lot harder at being a better buss boy. She walks away…he smiles.
Buzz thanks Lillian for everything… she says everything? He says yeah not a lot of women would be happy if their man went chasing after a former love. She flirts so then I'm your present love? He says if you don't know that I'm not working hard enough… she pulls him into a kiss saying work harder…

Out in a booth everyone still looks at pictures.
Remy and Cyrus sneak off to the side to talk…Remy feels the flowers are wearing her down. Cyrus smiles… they talk and Remy says you were meant to be a part of this family.
Daisy walks up and Cyrus asks how she feels about it. She says ok, and if you are a member of this family then you can take out the trash next he laughs. She says yeah I'm good with it…look around all of us together it is what Coop would have wanted…he'd like it. Cyrus says I hope so and they hug.
Frank congrats. Remy he says he is very proud of him. Remy smiles…he pulls everyone together… Remy says no you don't have too… Frank says yes come on… they all giggle as Lillian and Buzz come out from the back. He announces the Remy has enlisted. Remy says he leaves in two weeks. They all clap and cheer.
THE BEACON…
Nat sits on the floor in front of Olivia's room crying. Olivia kneels down all full of concern… are you ok? Nat. says yes it is Rafe… she explains what he did. She says she is scared and doesn't want someone to fix it, but wants someone … looks at O and says …you…to hold her. She feels alone and helpless… to lie there with her and tell her it'll be ok. She starts to cry harder she and Olivia hold hands.
Olivia says I don't know what you are going through I can't imagine it…I can help by writing a letter to a congress man…getting you a flight…money… a plane…but I cannot hold you, or stroke your hair, or love you like that. I can only be a friend b/c what if you leave again…Nat. says no I… O say I can't be anything but a friend…I can't…I can't do more…
THE GAZEBO…
Billy and Vanessa sit cuddled up together. Billy asks so um …how did Matt take it? She says leaning against him…he wished us well. Billy says I want to set a date; she laughs and says me too. She asks how did you know…looking into his eyes. He says I just looked at the ring and I knew it was time. She says you are really amazing. He says I won't screw it up this time… She looks at him smiling and says with total confidence… I know…they kiss…

Rafe and Buzz talk… he is proud of Rafe says you will see a lot of things that will change your life horrific ones and great ones but that isn't what makes you a man…your choice to go in today is what made you a man. I'm so proud of you…he hugs him. Rafe says I'm going to go over and play poker with them before you make me cry… Buzz all teary smiles and says ok.
Lillian walks up they embrace then look at the family. She says look at them… he says our family an odd but good collection that just keeps on expanding. They both suddenly look sad… we have to hold onto each other and them…
OUTSIDE…
Josh is sitting on a bench Olivia walks by, he gets up and stops her. She smiles sadly, he says he talked to Billy and Billy was very happy he said you did a good thing… TY you are a good friend. He asks hey, looking at her trying to catch her eyes…are you ok? She says ah not so much… He asks softly do you want to talk about it? She smiles and answers shaking her head, not so much…she looks up at him and says kinda teary you are a good friend too. He says come her and puts his arm around her shoulder, she rests her head on his shoulder and they walk off together.
THE CHURCH…
Nat stands alone praying about everything and lighting candles… she needs to make decisions… asks God to please keep Rafe safe and teach him all the things she hasn't taught him yet… all the things she didn't say…AMEN….

Billy goes to Cross Creek to ask a smiling Reva is she will be their Matron of Honor.
Philip tries once again to get James to play BB with him. No such luck.
Philip chases James's car out of the gates to the mansion he suddenly collapses gasping for air and holding his chest.
Jeffery shows Jonathan a message from Edmund…let Reva know you are alive and I start killing the children one by one.
Buzz, Frank and Marina are visited by the bank… they have to foreclose before they go into bankruptcy…Marina closes her eyes… Frank shakes his head, Buzz looks down closing his eyes as well…
