I havent watched GL since Lizzie told Jonathan to leave with Sara, which I think was last winter. But with the return of Danny and Michelle and the pending
return of Jonathan......I decided to start watching again. But I have to say, I am quite dissapointed so far.
To start, it seems like the actors are just mailing it in for the most part. Not all of them, but some of them. Sadly, PAS and NSA seem to be 2 of them. They both look great, but the performances have been pretty lackluster at best. Perhaps its the lack of a true story. Perhaps not. We'll give it some time.
Also it seems that since Harley and Gus left, the Coopers seem like backdrop scenery. Frank and Buzz look down and out. It might just be the fact that I havent been watching. Not 100% sure yet.
Bill and Lizzie seem a bit too happy. Again, I dont know the turmoil they have had recently.....but right now, things just seem to chummy. Lizzie has always been a violatile character. Want to see more of that.
Phillip's story seems really well done. I like where they are going with this. The actor playing James is doing a nice job. Daisy looks fantastic with her straight hair. The only thing is I thought James was Rick's kid? I could have sworn it. Remember when Phillip was taking all the kids on the Spaulding Jet and Rick was angry b/c Phillip took his son too? Confused. Can someone help?
Is Olivia and Natalia living at Cassie's farm? And Emma grew up fast.
Still dont like Blake. The character is consistant. And annoying on top of that.
Reva is still Reva. The Reva/Josh thing is old and I wish it had died out along time ago.
The actor playing Shane is cool as well. However, I really sense GL trying to replace Jonathan with scruffy bad boys. First they brought Cyrus in, then Grady, then Bill returns with a chip on his shoulder, then Shane.
Alan is....ugh. How people can associate with him after all that has been done? He never seems to show remorse and always falls back into the same traps.
I really hope the writing gets a bit better. From what I have seen this week, I understand why GL is being cancelled. Really dissapointed. At this point, Phillip's story and Jeffrey/Dinah/Edmund/Reva, etc. seem to be the only decent things to be interested in.
