Hello all -
I'd like to request prayer for a local family - I do not know them personally, but I have been haunted/touched by what has taken place near our community in the past few days.
This request is for the Auker family - especially for the father - this past Saturday, one day before Father's Day, Mr. Auker backed his riding lawn mower over his 2 1/2-year-old son, Isaiah. They buried him yesterday. The little boy's picture was with his obituary in the paper - he had very blond hair and a gorgeous smile! I have just had these people on my heart ever since I read the news on Saturday evening. I cannot imagine the horrendous grief that this entire family, but most especially the father, is experiencing. How could you ever live with this????? Only by the grace of God, I'm supposing. They are a religious family, so I pray that their faith will see them through. But, I know they could use all the prayers they can get to see them through the coming days and weeks.
I know I can count on you guys to do just that.
