izzie tells Bill about the baby, Bill confronts Ava, Bill and Ava make a deal.
At the mansion, Dinah is greeting the wedding guests anxiously. Matt arrives and she asks him to keep an eye on Bill. Across the lawn, Jeffrey arrives. Olivia chews him out for being late. He walks off to talk to his daughter. Reva says she has no idea what's going on.
In her room, Ava wishes that Remy hadn't picked now to tell her that he loves her. "This is crazy. I'm getting married!" she reminds him, pointing out her dress. He doesn't think it's crazy if she feels the same way he does. They both know that Bill isn't the right guy, he insists. She says there are a million reasons for her to be with Bill. Remy knows that what she feels for him is more than friendship and way more than she feels for Bill. He takes her hand but she turns away. Crying, she can't tell him he's wrong: He makes her life better and lets her be herself. She feels safe with him... but it's too late. Olivia bursts in and tries to end the moment. She orders Remy out. He refuses to go without Ava's say so. She asks him to go. Her mother asks her if things are okay. "Fine," Ava weeps. Olivia asks her if she really wants to go through with this. Ava needs ten minutes to get herself together.
In the office, Lizzie explains to Bill that Ava got pregnant at a fertility clinic just to trap him into marrying her. She only found out yesterday and didn't know if she should tell him. He refuses to believe her and accuses her of making this up. She breaks down and confesses that Jeffery told her. She produces the paperwork to back it up and lays it on the desk. "You realize I've got a wedding that starts in five minutes?" he shakes. She insists this isn't a sick joke. He doesn't know what to do. He already loves the child with all his heart. How could Ava do this to him? Lizzie claims that she didn't want to ruin his day but couldn't keep this to herself. She leaves him alone. He takes out the sonagram and stares at it.
The Lewis family gathers in the office for the wedding. Hilda comes in to announce that Wanda isn't coming and they laugh. Reva explains to Vanessa and Billy that they aren't the only late arrivals. She leaves for the bar. Vanessa tells Billy that this isn't the wedding she expected for her son. It seems "calculated". "I've always been a fan of spur of the moment weddings," he laughs. She just wants her children to be happy.
Olivia paces the halls. Jeffrey asks her what's wrong. "Nothing. Everything," she says. Jeffrey tells her they shouldn't push this marriage since it's based on false pretenses. She tells him to stop. He explains that Lizzie is talking to Bill and he doesn't think there will be a wedding now. Olivia starts to lay into him for threatening his daughter's wedding day.
Dinah runs into her brother in the garden. He's not in the mood to talk and runs off. Billy tacks down his son staring at the sonagram. They may have butt heads on everything, but he still loves his son. He's angry about the way that he stole the family business away from him and showed him up, but he's proud that he did it and is sure HB would have been impressed. He tells him how important having a baby is and pats him on the back.
Olivia runs into Remy in the hall and tries to throw him out. Dinah steps in and insists that he can stay as her guest.
Ava bumps into Lizzie and tells her to get out. Lizzie makes it clear that she's been talking to Bill and smugly strolls off. As she walks down to the gate, Jeffrey chases after her and asks her why she didn't tell Bill yesterday. She regrets telling him at all; this is probably the worst day of his life. He wonders what Bill will do. She says that some people can live with lies quite happily, Alan always has; maybe Bill will be the same. Jeffrey worries about his daughter's humiliation, but Lizzie blames everything on Ava and feels sorry for Bill. She stomps off.
Dinah and Olivia get Ava cleaned up and ready to go. Before they can leave, Bill arrives. He sends them away and confronts Ava. She tells him that this is everything she wants. He knows that the baby's not his. She tells him it is. "You're lying to my face!" he barks. He loves the baby so he's his in every way that counts, she explains. She justifies what she did, insisting that she did it to build a future for them. Stifling his anger, he keeps repeating that she's lied to him. "We're not going to happen," he states. She's not sure what this means. He explains that he is going to have his own life with the house, the company and the baby, but she will have a separate life. Separate but in the same house. To the public, they will be a couple, but not in private. "You made your bed and you are going to lie in it. Till death do us part," he says. She disturbed that he wants to do this. He tells her they're running late and walks away. Alone, Ava plays with the necklace she's shared with Remy. When she is ready to go down, she stares down at Remy as Dinah places the necklace Bill gave her around her neck. He sadly walks off.
Dinah and Vanessa are admiring each other's outfits. Vanessa tells her she's sorry about Mallet. Dinah doesn't want to talk about it. Her mother tells her she'll be fine. Dinah has what she needs and wishes her mother believed that. "A person can't count on other people to make them happy," Vanessa explains. Dinah leaves to check on things. Vanessa sighs.
Outside, Reva starts adjusting Jeffery's bow tie. He says there won't be a wedding so everyone needs to get really drunk. When they get married they won't have a wedding like this, he says. She puts her arms around him. They sit down to drink while the guests mill around.
Billy runs into Lizzie kicking pebbles. She doesn't think she should be there. He suspects everything is going bust and, if it does, she needs to be around to help pick up the pieces. She hangs out on the road in front of the house and watches. When the wedding march can be heard, she sneaks onto the grounds again.
Jeffrey goes inside to see his daughter. He finds her sitting on her bed. She guesses that he told Bill. He actually told Lizzie, but he did it because he doesn't want her to marry Bill: She deserves better. She understands, she says, touching his hand. He asks if there's anything he can do. "You can walks me down the aisle," she says. He's baffled. This may not be what she imagined for herself, but she and Bill talked it over and this is what they decided.
With the wedding march playing, Jeffrey leads his daughter down the steps to Bill as he waits. "It's a deal," she tells Bill when she arrives at his side. The clergyman begins and the baby starts kicking. Ava asks for the short version. Bill tells her that when he looks in her eyes, he sees their future. This is for their son. "The future is ours," he says. She's waited for this a long time and couldn't imagine it any other way. She looks over at Remy and then continues to recite her vow. "There's nothing that we can't do together as a family," she says. They say their "I dos" and kiss as the guests clap. Lizzie stands by in shock.
