Found these board this winter & just think all you guys are super nice! I don't post very often but I try to lurk & keep up. I've been watchin GL since 82 when I got to stay home with the birth of my oldest son, & been hooked ever since. I'm married & have 2 sons, they keep us busy with sports, its baseball season now!! Spend a lot of time on bleachers. I also work in a garage, up front in the parts dept. I tape GL every day & everyone at home knows not to mess with my VCR!! I couldn"t tell you who my fav is on GL, I just love them all!! Really like seeing Billy back and Vanessa, but love the new people too. Hate that Richard is leaving. I could go on all day! Nice meetin all of you guys!

I am a Corporate Event Planner and I am lucky enough to have my own company. One of the perks is getting to watch GL mostly everyday! I have married to the most wonderful man for the past 5 years. We have been together 10 years. My husband has been a dog trainer for over 25 years and also has his own drug screening company that does everything from scent dogs to DNA analaysis. I also have been active in the dog show circuit. I retired my last dog about 2 years ago. We also live and run a working farm. We raise Holstein heifers ( Black and white) on contract for dairies. We are up to 170 "girls" now. I have my own herd of 30. We really love them because they are great to watch after you have a stressful day! Since we do all the work on the farm ourselves, it dosen't leave much down time and I really love this board and think Elizabeth and Susi do a terrific job! I have been watching GL since I was 15 and have always loved it! kathryn

I am married for 30 yrs, and have one son 29 yrs. old and still at home. I had to retire on disability 1-1/2 yrs. ago from real estate. I do not know how I would live without my computer and Guiding Light! I have been watching Guiding Light regular (most of the time when my work allowed it) since 1960 when I graduated from high school also, watched during summers before then. It has always been my favorite of the daytime soaps. I must say the writing use to be soooo much better than it is today!! My grandmother always watched it and she passed away in 1970, my mother who is still living has always watched it and still does today! It is the only one that she does watch. I think I just joined and found this site this year. I don't post often but I do love to read all the post on the site. I too use to read on another board, which had good spoilers but the posters did not seem nearly as friendly, but for some reason after the 911 incident I was never able to pull it up again. I don't know why and have often wondered. I never registered on it but did like to read the spoilers. BUT, then I found this site and everyone was so friendly, I decided to join and have enjoyed it very much. I love dogs and cats. Only have one outside dog at the present, my precious 3-1/2 yr. old baby Gidget passed away unexpectedly 2 weeks before Christams with a heart attack and no warning of heart problems had the Vet. seen and Feb. 2001 had to put my 19yr. old cat. Simon to sleep because of many health problems and his age. So I haven't found any others to bring into my heart at this time, but will find the right ones before long, I am sure. Ruth

I am a college student and work two jobs, so that doesn't leave much time for anything else I have been watching GL on and off since my grandma moved in with my family 3 years ago, but started watching religiously in September. The chemistry between BE and RPG got me hooked. In the spare time that I do have, I love to swim. I love to watch movies and be with my friends. I also really love music and I love to sing (but I am not very good). Every Wednesday night we go to the Karaoke bar It can be a lot of fun. I really love this board. The people here are a lot nicer than some of the other boards that will remain nameless I tend to be a lurker, but I post when I want to get my two cents in. I am also a semi-regular poster at the GusH board.

I'm new here, just discovered this board and you ladies really make me laugh with some of your posts. My name's Amy and I'm married with 3 kids. I had been watching GL for a long time(years) but over the past few years I'd gotten so busy with family life and work, that I stopped watching for awhile. I'd tune into it once in awhile but wasn't consistent. Now, that the kids are all in school (yay!) and more time for me, I have just started tuning in again. I'm taping it whenever I can't watch it, that's how hooked I've become again! I just love Marah and Tony, they are probably one of the reasons why I am addicted to the show. The other storylines are great too but Marah and Tony are so great to watch! Look forward to being on this board and reading all your posts!

I posted some last summer but I cut back when I went back to school and got back into acting and singing. I'm 16 and going into my senior year of high school. I'll be 17 in 2 months. Besides watching GL, I watch Y&R and DOOL occasionally. But GL is by far my favorite. I am also a primetime drama fan...I love ER. It's glad to be back after so long. I have missed posting here. I've never missed an episode and love it. The only other show I watch in addition to ER and GL is Survivor. I missed the first Survivor but got bitten by the bug during the second one. I started watching my senior year in high school and haven't stopped. I love the show. I work everyday and tape the show so I can watch when I get home or on the weekend. My favorite character is Harley and has been since she came on the show. I am really enjoying the show right now, especially since Ed is back. The show was really missing the Bauer connection and it's great to have Ed and Peter Simon back since we lost Mary Stuart and Meta. I am currently on break from school, I attend Rowan University at night and am finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Well that's all for now. Cathy

Lexington is the undisputed " Horse Capitol of the World " !!!! Lexington is known for it's Beautiful horse farms and the Keeneland race track and sales pavilion. Lexington is about 75 or 80 miles from Louisville the home of the Louisville Slugger and "THE Kentucky Derby" , we Have been to Four Kentucky Derbies. Personal Bio. I've been following Guiding light for close to 20 years. My wife and I have been members of the guiding light fan club going on 3 years. We are to go to the Guiding Light Gathering this year in New York ! It's on sunday October the 20 th. this year and Oct. 20 is our 12th wedding anniversary! Also on friday the 18th. we have gotten tickets for the St. Jude dinner party with the soap stars from all the networks. From Guiding Light Reva, Allen ,and Gus are scheduled to be there. We are VERY excited to be going this year. We tried to get tickets for the Gathering last year but we just waited too late. We already have made reservations to stay at the Marriott where the Gathering is going to be held this year. It was pricey but I figure it will be once in a lifetime chance to meet Reva and the cast !!!! This will be our second time going to New York city , we went back in 1990 and I actually got to go to the Observation deck of THE World Trade Center ! also the Empire State building and the NYSE. The metropolitan art museam ,Hard rock cafe, and Central Park - strawberry fields which was dedicated to John Lennon. Last but not least our hobbies are Travel , my wife and I have been to 48 out of the 50 states - we need to go to Hawaii and Alaska. And we have been to at least 10 different countries - mostly Europe. I have been playing Guitar for about 15 or so years, I have one acustic and four electric Guitars. I've gotten pretty good over the years and I can play Fast !

I hope no-one takes offence to my user name. Every name I tried to use was taken before this, so I thought I may get a little creative. I am called Sam in my everyday surroundings. I live in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. I have been watching the Light for about twenty years now. It all started when I got home from work one day and my wife said Roger got shot....I asked, who is Roger? etc.... I was laid off from work a short time after that, and started watching on a regular basis. I record every day because I don't want to miss anything. I am a 50's plus citizen and enjoy reading all of your takes on these storylines. Thanks for letting me participate.
