Wow, I am so happy to get to know everyone. We have such a diverse and interesting group! No wonder we have such great discussions! I hope to see all of you often on the board! Welcome all the new folks and hello to all the regulars! It is so interesting to read about everyone, I hope to see many more intro's coming in!

Hi my name is Candi I am 21 I live in Hammond IN. Dont let my age fool you I grew up fast. started dating my husband at 15 got engaged at 16 married at 18 had my son at 19. Been married for 3 years and i have a 2 year old son. I am basically stay at home mom. I only work two nights a week. I been watching guiding light for a long time its been past down from generation to generation in my family. My great grandma usto listen to it on the radio. My mom and sisters usto watch it all the time and i remeber i got hooked when reva went over the cliff. Guiding Light is the only soap i ever watched in my life. The reason is i know the history of this soap and i be too afraid to go to another. I even got my husband watching it and he is 25. I enjoy going to this site at night when my sons is sleeping its my time to my self. I cant remember when i started posting on this board but my other one got shut down. I enjoy reading everyones comments

Hi, I'm Maria. And like my GL namesake I love Tony...only I'm not old enough to be his grandmother. Um, his mother, maybe. <G> I only recently stumbled into the world of GL, completely by accident, but I got hooked on Gus/Harley, Alan/Olivia, and Tony/Marah/Romeo. And I appreciate the wickedness of Carmen more every day! Actually, I really like the Santoses, the whole pack; lots of people don't, but maybe it's because I'm so new to the entire soap scene.
I'm in the process of moving to Florida from Illinois, to start a new life. I'm single, never-married, I have a background in commercial music radio but I'm going to try something else. I've been interested/involved in the entertainment business just about all my life, and I've gotta say one thing about GL/soaps I didn't anticipate...the acting is really pretty damn good! |

 I pretty hang on the Official Robert Newman Fan Club board but I lurk around to OKZFC and this board on occasion. I've been so busy planning a wedding, getting a newly purchased house organized and working FT that I don't have much time to post much anymore. Although, my only reprieve from all of this is watching the show as dullsville as it seems sometimes. I've been watching GL since I was a little girl. I was weaned by my folks who are in their 70's. I recently made my fiance a junkie too  .Rose

Hi I'm Shelly. I'm 30 years old, born and raised in KY. I've never been married and have no children. I'm a huge UK mens basketball fan. I have a spoiled rotten Siberian Husky named Dakota, a few fish and an adorable boyfriend who turns 28 tomorrow. He enjoys calling me his older woman.
We've been together since last August. I love to read especially Dean Koontz, Mary Higgins Clark, Sandra Brown and Nora Roberts. I work as an office manager and just completed building a new house.  I'm working on pouring a sidewalk now. I took Friday off from work to slave away in 85 degree weather to work on it. The joys of home ownership. I read the boards while at work so I don't get to see posts over the weekend.  I don't have an internet connection at home. I'm poor.  At the moment I don't even have a phone. I'm waiting until my cell phone contract ends so that I can replace that bill with a regular phone bill. I need a raise. I've been watching GL for as long as I can remember and have been at this board practically since the day Elizabeth started it. Thanks Elizabeth! I too went to that other board and it had been shut down. It's a small world because my dad had a ruptured aortic abdomonal aneurysm a few years ago. The doctors said he had a twenty percent chance of making it, but he did! The nurses called him their little miracle.  Anyway that's who I am. My favorite character on the show right now is Harley. I've loved her since she arrived on the scene. I enjoy Carmen's and Edmund's snide remarks. I wish they would do away with the mob completely and get back to the core families. I liked Richard and Cassie, but lately they haven't been on much and they have changed Cassie's character to this holier-than-thou ex-princess and I just don't enjoy watching her as much. I also love Blake and hate that they had her go to the beauty salon instead of finding her children. GL has been better, IMO but I'm hoping it will be good again someday. I have also watched DOOL (stopped when Marlena was possessed), Y&R, Capitol, ATWT, Knots Landing and Dallas. |

Wow - it's great to see how many people introduced themselves and what a diverse group Elizabeth has going on here. My name is Jeannie and I'm 42 and I live in Mickleton, which is located in Southern New Jersey close to Delaware. As you can tell by my screen name I am the mother of three blondes, Tommy 15, Chelsea 12 and Haley Elizabeth 9. I have been married to my husband Tom for 18 years after knowing him for only 8 months. We have a black lab, Pepper, a cat with no name that someone dumped off in my yard five years ago and last week my husband built me a fish pond with a waterfall in the back yard so I could relax. I work full-time as an Executive Administrator for a Pharmaceutical Company, which basically translates to a make a lot of money being at the beck and call of a powerful Corporate Executive.
I have watched GL for many years on and off. I really loved the Cassie and Richard storyline early on but lately it's not been anything to write home about. I also enjoy Edmund's humor. In my spare time, which I have very little of, I love to garden and travel. My husband and I love the Caribbean and have traveled it extensively. My mother finally took my kids to Disney World last year because she said they had seen more Islands then most adults but had never been to Disney. I stumbled onto this Board by chance and I must say it is one of only two Boards I frequent. My name is Jen and this is my first day on the board. I've heard good things about it from the GusH board, so I decided to come check it out. I am 19 and I just finished my Freshman year in college!! I've been watching GL since I was 5. I love Gus and Harley, really don't like Frank and Phillip right now and abssolutely love the current GusH storyline....even though I want to scream at the tv a lot when it's on
 I'm looking forward to some great discussion about my favorite show!!! |

I just found the board a couple of weeks ago, but I'm so glad I did!
I've been watching GL since...well, technically since before I was born (it was the one show my Mom watched all through her pregnancy with me) and some of my earliest memories are watching it with my grandma before I started school. I also watch Days and Passions, and used to watch Y&R, B&B, and ATWT but I lost interest in those over the years. I also love X Files, Buffy, and wrestling. (I know, I know, wrestling,...but I've watched that just as long as GL with my dad, so ...you know.) I'm 20 (but will be 21 next month...woo hoo!) and have two part time jobs and go to college. I'm majoring in Early Childhood Education and the plan is to teach 2nd grade once I graduate. I'm from Cleveland, OH and recently moved out of the dorms due to a less than mentally stable roommate, so I'm living at home for the moment with my parents and younger brother. I also love cats (we have four--Al, Frankie, Harry, and Vince-- plus a Golden Retriever Charlie). In fact, my middle name, believe it or not, is Kitty so I've always had a special place for cats. I even have a small kitty tattoo on my back! |

Just wanted to say welcome and nice to meet you to Jen and Krissi! Krissi, it is great to "meet" another poster from Ohio! I live in Frankfort, which is about 45 miles south of Columbus. If you blink, you'd miss going through it! Very close to Chillicothe. Also nice to encounter another cat lover! Hope to see you guys post often.

Hi,everyone my name is Ruthie, i hail from Marion,In it's a small town north of Indianapolis about 65 miles. I am married to John, we have been married for 42 plus years i have four children whom are all grown and gone. I love soaps I watch GL,Band B,YR, sometimes i watch Days of our lives, My favorites are Richard and Cassie, this couple has been a part of me for three years, and the thought of Bradley leaving just makes me Ill, I will never invest into another couple like i did this couple. I also was one of the old Bradaddicted,i still have my T shirt.

I've been reading posts on this board for awhile now and decided to register myself.
I'm 20 years old and live in Brockton, Massachusetts. It's only about an hour away from Boston. I attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. I hope to one day be a commercial airline pilot. I believe I started watching Guiding Light when i was flipping channels one day. I stopped flipping when i saw two handsome men talking to each other. It turned out to be Rick and Phillip. It was during the storyline when Rick finds out he's not really a doctor. They hooked me right in and i've been watching ever since. I enjoy Rick and Phillip's friendship and think Gus and Harley are hilarious together. Well, that is my life. HI to all of you and thanks for such a great board!

Hi everyone.
 I am new here. My name is Cara. I am a 20 year old college student. I go to East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. I am studying Communication Broadcasting. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pa. I am a huge GL fan. It is the only soap I watch. I have been watching this soap since I was pretty young. My mom always taped it, and when she would come home from work she would watch it. My grandmother also loved GL. She said she had been a fan since it was on the radio, so she use to tell me all these things from way back in the day. She passed away two years ago though. Last summer I was lucky enough to meet Ricky Paull Golden. I was walking in Time Square with my mom and my aunt. They were ahead of me and Ricky walked by me. I ran up to my mom and said look there is Gus from GL. He heard me and turned around and took a picture with me and signed an autograph and talked for a few minutes. He was a really sweet guy, so you might hear me talk about him, because I just love him. Anyway, this board looks like a lot of fun, and I glad to get to know everyone. Thanks! Cara

Have lurked for quite awhile. I am the mother of two children, the wife of an Air Force Flight Engineer currently in the Afghanistan region. Living in North Carolina and loving it. I work for an on-site sourcing Document managing service online. Wonderful to work from home.
