The Other Half
She turned around and there he is.
The face she saw, it was his.
The long straight nose, the cool blue eyes,
A feeling there she couldnt disguise.
She felt a feeling she couldnt explain.
Some unfamiliar, aching pain.
He reached out with his hand and touched her skin.
It was her soul he wanted to win.
His face was touched with a brownish beard
While the warmth of his touch totally seared.
He touched her neck easily at first
Then he kissed her with an incredible thirst.
But it wasnt like it used to be;
All of his love flowing free.
What was wrong, what was it now?
To love again, shed show him how.
She used to love him and she still did,
Of him she would never be rid.
They were a part of one another.
One couldnt live without the other.
When at first he came she lived inside,
Then he left and that part died.
Why was she willing to help him out?
Because she loved him beyond any doubt.
She moved into his warm embrace
As a puzzled look crossed his face
Slowly his head started to descend.
Was he going to kiss her or just pretend?
Finally then their lips did meet
Creating such tremendous heat.
His tongue went on a slow trip,
And he easily nibbled her bottom lip.
Her hands move up to rest on his shoulders.
Oh, how much he wanted to hold her.
She heard him whisper something in her ear,
But she didnt understand. It wasnt quite clear.
She felt her feet leaving the floor,
And things were like they were before.
Quickly he removed all their clothes.
He was like a Greek god that came out of its pose.
He was perfect down to his even tan.
So this was him, this perfect man.
The bed did squeak under his weight
And loving him had sealed her fate.
She felt a pain inside her. Her nails raked his back.
He was showing her the love he would never lack.
Once they were finished, all the loving through.
He said to her again, Ill always love you.
She faintly heard those words as she drifted off to sleep.
Tonight would be a memory both of them would keep.
They were a part of one another.
