I never knew he was on the show. But I guess he used to be one character and they want him back to play a totally different character. I think that would be cool. Always liked Buzz. Now onto my first time. Not that first time. Get your heads out of the gutter. But watching ATWT wasnt all that exciting for me. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I really have no clue who anyone is how they relate to one another. Also, there seemed to be a lot of drama over Brad's funeral....so I am sure many characters werent the same as they usually are. But outside of Maddie.......they all seem pretty bland. Nah, I take that back....Craig has a very strong on screen presence. Then there was Henry, I think that was his name, Maddie's brother. Uhhh.....what a loon. Is the character supposed to be gay? He acts very flamboyant. Maybe the actor is gay. I'm not sure which. But it comes across horribly on screen. Also it seems like most of the characters are either middle aged, 40+ or they are young 17 and under. How does TP fit into this? He is either gonna be on the prowl for a cougar or rocking the cradle. Oh well. I cant even recall who he was rumored to be entwined in a story with. I'm gonna watch again tomorrow. Hoping I get a better feel for what is going on and who the characters are. If anyone has a favorite and really seems to know a character, feel free to post a little something to enlighten me about them. Thanks!

I think and hope that most of these storylines are going to be over so you will catch some new ones. Brad Snyder was one half of a popular couple..Brad and Katie..he was killed last week(by accident) by his brother Jack. His wife had his baby the same day he died and he never got to see him. It's really been sad. I think you'll probably be more interested in Carly who has been gone for a few months because the actress had a baby. Carly is my favorite...and Jack too, although Jack used to be much more of a hero than he is at the moment. Supposedly he will be going back to that in the near future. Jack and Carly were fan favorites for a long time..until they messed up Jack. LOL As far as Henry goes, he's not gay(that I know of) on the show as he's been with a few women. I don't know if he is in real life, but I do know that he has had a girlfriend before. LOL I don't know who TP's character will be with..maybe Alison, who is pretty much the only character his age. Alison already has a couple of men after her though. I heard he was going to be involved in a storyline with Emily, Paul and Barbara, who are all middle age. Maybe he won't have a romantic inerest. It would suit me fine if he didn't IF he's only going to be a round for a little bit. Justin Deas used to be Tom Hughes, a member of one of the main families in Oakdale, and was part of a "supercouple" of the time with his real life wife, Margaret Colin. His character is still married to the same character right now. LOL Tom and Margo. I hope I helped some. Hopefully you'll stick with it and begin to like the show.

Almost all of the regular viewers love him! He is not at his at this moment, but the story goes like this : they brought Trent Dawson on to play Henry for one or two episodes in 1999, and his witty comedic routine made him so much liked by the fans that they got him to stay till 2005 on frequently recurring basis. Then they offered him a contract and here he is. His character used to be a friend of Carly's, then they made him into an annoyingly lapdogish friend of Katie - but I still liked him - and lately, they have been doing weird things with his character. So far as I know, Trent Dawson is a heterosexual. This doubt is caused in a lot of viewers' minds because the show frequently puts him in drag. Wiki has this to say about Henry Coleman, and with this, I agree: Henry is sarcastic, witty, and charming, but he can also be manipulative and ruthless in reaching for his goals. He gambles and is infamous for his love of martinis. Usually he's only working for the money, as he's constantly broke. As well, Henry is a master of disguise, and has dressed in drag on numerous occasions. In one such instance, he pretended to be a pregnant woman named Henrietta at a doctor's office. Tom and Margo are still very much on the show .... gotta run now. I think Wikipedia may be the easiest source for you to figure out who the rest of the characters are.

I also think that Jack and Janet(the redhead) are history. For me, they have no chemistry and I will be glad if they break them up. Henry SERIOUSLY got on my nerves. I hope he and TP have fritction. I love Henry, but he got on my nerves today, too. I hate what they did to his character with this last storyline. If he and TP are in the same storyline, I would bet they'd become friends. I do recall hearing the name Emily. But cant put a face to it. They weren't on the show today. Emily is Allison Stewart's Sister/Mother. She's her sister because they share the same Mom...but she's her Mother because Emily donated the eggs for her mother to have her. LOL Does that make sense? Emily and Paul just got married and they really want a baby, but Emily had her tubes tied when she was married to Casey. Yep she was married to her sister/daughter's boyfriend. Paul is Barbara Ryan and James Stenbeck's son. James was the resident meany. He did some really bad things throughout the years and recently died(think he might really be dead now, but you never know with James.) Barbara was once married to Tom Hughes, but eventually married James..they had Paul and James kept him from Barbara. Anyway, I think TP will be involved someway with Paul & Emily wanting to have a baby. Not sure though. Maddie just came back on the show...she's Henry's sister. She used to be Casey's girlfriend before she left.

He is acting like a loon right now because he is sort of responsible for Brad's death in that he "got into bed" with a mobster to launder money through one of this businesses. You see, there are only a few things that Henry loves in life...Vienna (and sex with her), Katie, Maddie, martinis, and money...not necessarily in that order. He is always looking for that get rich quick scheme and takes gambling to an extreme sometimes. Katie and Henry have been best friends forever. She is actually the love of his life although she sees him has her best friend. They were actually married at one point, but he let her go so she could be happy. So, right now he is beating himself up horribly. Henry is hilarious most of the time, but I guess you have to like awkward comedic talent to really love Henry. Maddie is Henry's sister and they work well together also. He is meant to be the off-kilter comedic relief on the show. Give him a chance, and let me know if you change your mind, I always love opposing views !

He is nothing more than a cute face in my opinion. I felt the same way when he was on Days of Our Lives. I am a huge TP fan and I too am wondering who they could pair him up with. I hope it isn't Allison, who seems to be closer to his age, because I don't like her acting either. You will have to let me know who you think he can work well with. In my opinion, he would work awesome with Carly. I know she is a bit older, but I think that she is the only female on the show that has the talent to really bring out Tom's best. The only other is perhaps Emily. She can be quite a dramatic actress. I just hope it works out because I want to see TP around for a while. I heard that he was not going to be on long term, so I was hoping that the powers to be would change their mind and his.

Now that you said it, JR, I realize that ATWT doesn't have any "younger" people. I'd love to see some new girls come on besides Ali..whom I like, but think they need more girl friends for her. I'm not sure what characters in Oakdale have had any girl children who would be that age. Can anyone think of that?

LOL I understand Marshall's daughter Sarah was a teenage child when we last saw her, back in 2004. She showed up as an orphan and it took a while for Marshall to find out that Sarah was his daughter. Bonnie was for some reason (which I cannot remember now) obsessed with "protecting" Sarah from her own father who has been nothing but kindness to Sarah since the day he discovered that Sarah was his daughter. Jessica wanted to "protect" Bonnie from being obsessed with "protecting" Sarah. So, Jessica threatened to sue Marshall with a claim of having been raped by him (a very dubious claim at its best, because Jessica, though engaged to Ben, insisted on having Marshall stay under her roof and was coming on to him in all kinds of ways) unless he took Sarah and left town. Marshall tried to do just that, but Bonnie physically fought with him to prevent him from doing that. In the ensuing struggle, Marshall fell to his death from a window in the high-rise apartment. At that time, the character was a teenager. No harm in sorasing the character to a young woman by now ... she was played by a young Joanna HartsHorne at the time : I would love to see her played now by the actress who was a recast for the awful Lily Winters on Y&R for a while, Davetta Sherwood (I absolutely dislike Christel Khalil's version of Lily, and hate the way she decided to return to the show after having dumped Y&R for better pastures and the way that Ms Sherwood, who made Lily Winters much classier and much more lively (IMO) was let go) whom I think is gorgeous and will look great if paired with Tom Pelphrey's character - here she is, looking gorgeous with Daniel Romalotti on Y&R:

I want Davetta to portray Sarah! Sarah can come back to town with her prior connections (to Marshall, Jessica, Ben and Bonnie) but with none of the baggages. It will be wonderful if they brought back Isaac too! As for Jessica's claim of rape by Marshall, here is how the story went (excerpt from Soapcentral): About this time, a young woman named Brandy was murdered and Marshall prosecuted Paul for the crime. Unknown to everyone, James was blackmailing Marshall with the whereabouts of the teenage daughter (a product of a college affair) that he never met. Though he knew Paul was innocent, Marshall complied with James's demands. An attack of conscience however forced him to admit that James was the true murderer and he was blackmailing Marshall by withholding the whereabouts of his teenage daughter. In retaliation James shot Marshall in the head, though luckily Ben saved him. Unfortunately, the operation didn't go smoothly and Ben almost killed Marshall by accidentally nicking an artery. Though Jess came to Ben's defense, she made a deal with Marshall to help find his daughter if he dropped the lawsuit against Ben. Deeply attracted to Jessica, and knowing she was attracted to him, Marshall agreed. Unfortunately, he was devastated to learn that his daughter was dead. Soon after, Marshall was placed under arrest for conspiring with James Stenbeck and placed in Jessica's custody. Content with Jessica, everything changed one morning when Jessica kicked him out after a passionate night of lovemaking. Confused by Jessica's distance, he was shocked when she claimed that he forced himself on her the night before. Though he tried to explain to Jess that his seduction was consensual, a regretful Jessica disagreed and she filed charges against him. Although an unrepentant Marshall pleaded with her to drop the case and threatened to use an old videotape of them making love to embarrass her, Jess refused to back down and went on with the charges. Realizing that Marshall truly did not see what he'd done to her, Jess cornered him in court and forced him to finally see that he had indeed raped her. Marshall's acknowledgment of guilt was enough to vindicate Jess, and knowing that he did not intentionally mean to do it, she dropped the charges. Later that summer, after feeling as if he were being stalked and harassed by Bonnie and her young charge, orphan Sarah Smith, Marshall discovered a startling fact--Sarah was his daughter, Zara! Shocked, Marshall decided to let the girl into his life and warned Bonnie to stay away or he'd tell the police about the shooting. Unfortunately, Sarah herself sought out Bonnie about her troubles adjusting to her new life. Knowing that Sarah was on the verge of discovering what Marshall did to Jessica, Bonnie convinced him to tell Sarah about the rape. Unfortunately for Bonnie, instead of Sarah lashing out at Marshall, she lashed out at Bonnie for keeping the truth from her! Marshall's undoing came when he finally realized that Sarah needed Bonnie and he asked Bonnie for help. Concerned about Bonnie's obsession with Sarah and afraid of her getting close to Marshall, Jessica threatened to reopen the rape case against Marshall if he didn't take Sarah and leave town for good. Unfortunately, Bonnie learned what Jessica had done and raced to Marshall's to stop him from taking Sarah away. Knowing that Jessica would make good on her threat, Marshall argued with Bonnie and told her he was leaving with Sarah. Unfortunately, Bonnie struggled with Marshall and in the melee he was pushed out the window and fell to his death. I really, really liked Marshall; I remember that his father Oliver Travers was played by the amazing Richard Roundtree; I cannot remember what happened to his father after Marshall died. If the character is still alive and if they can get Roundtree to reprise the role, it will be great if Sarah returns with her GF! RR is still so handsome and poised that I wouldn't mind it at all if Oliver Travers chased after Lucinda Walsh! Sigh ... I am just dreaming in Technicolor I know. None of this will come to pass, but if any of it did, wouldn't it be great for us ATWT fans!

True, and it is a real pity that they have chosen to waste Luke, a very important character, in these snoozefests. I have never been able to stand Noah - but Luke was a very differnt story. If they had to make Lily Snyder's son gay, why not give him more interesting SLs and less annoying actors and characters to play his romantic interests! Ooooooh Richard Roundtree could go toe to toe with Lucinda, couldn't he acting wise????? Exactly, Julie - that is what I am thinking!

A lot of the scenes from Philly looked very familiar. I guess they went to Philly for filming. Either that or did a great recreation. The south Broad tunnel looks exact. Got my first glimpse of TP today in the coming attractions for next week. WHOOO!!! Jonathan Randall cleans up. WOW! TP in a suit? But who was the couple he was talking too? It got me confused cuz I thought he was supposed to be interacting with Allison and I thought Allison was the chick from the hospital who was worried about Katie not coming to visit her baby and also the chick that showed up at the funeral and conversed with her ex and Maddie. But it didnt look like her in the preview.
