It makes no sense anyway, since if they do us in, China will not have the world's biggest cash cow to milk! And no matter what else, Chinese are v-e-r-y smart business people. I did wonder about the Oriental looking (to my eyes, they looked like Koreans) assassins. And also, presumably, the President having the hit ordered directly or indirectly; shades of '24' I think! The actress who played the new girlfriend of Janis - I know her very well from some other show, but cannot think where! It has been driving me nuts. Where has she been before and what is her name? Peter Coyote! I am really liking his evil genius of a US president - interesting choice in casting. Please, please tell me who that woman is! I wish it would come back to me ...

Hmm .. having been a fan of '24' since its inception, I really don't find FF to be a downer at all. Anyway, different strokes, I guess. I am sick of Joseph's pained expression though. It seems to fit the SL. Actually, it all seems appropriate to me. I care about these characters. They are all fragiel and vulnerable, and I care about them. Again, I guess it is all about different strokes.

I have never watched the OC, and have not watched NUmb3rs recently very much except in snatches. Thanks very much Loretta for putting me out of my misery! She looked so familiar and so different here that it has been very elusive on my brain.

I am liking this one as well! I like most of the characters and I am anxious to see the next "six months", like how the lesbian becomes pregnant (especially now that she's been shot) and just how the wife and the little boy's dad gets together. I want to know why everyone blacked out but the guy at the stadium. What was he doing to be immune from whatever happened? I don't see this lasting beyond a few seasons though, do you guys? It's like Life On Mars...once they have a resolution, it's pretty much over with. Praying daily for our Guy

They are promising to resolve all the major questions raised in the first season before the first season ends, but that the viewers will still be left with other questions for which they can get answers in the next season if they are lucky enough to have the show reviewed. They said also that they think that seven years is the ultimate limit for what they wished to do (or words to that effect), but that if four or five is all they get, they can make do. Oh, I got all this by watching various interviews with them. I have to say that this season of prime time has got some winners! I agree with you! I like most of the characters and I am anxious to see the next "six months" .... That is exactly how I feel! I want to know, because I really care about these characters!! It has been a long-time coming, but at last a television season where I actually care about almost all the characters on not just one show but more than that!!! So, what happened? Did the various TV Execs get a Flash Forward and decided to change their ways? Huh? I actually do not mind the darkness of the show at all. In fact, I think that for this show with the ridiculous premise to have any credibility at all, it is totally essential that it be a dark vision ... if not, why would any group of human beings work so hard to understand and take some sort of control, eh?

Posts: 230 (10/28/09 09:20:05) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Soapy, the reason Life on Mars ended was because it was canceled, they originally showed it for a season, they took it off the air for six months or so, when they bought it back it was not doing well because by that time we all forgot the parts we were supposed to remember, then they wrapped it up with what I feel was one of the worst thought out endings ever, I was totally disappointed.

I usually don't watch til the weekend anyway, but look forward to it then. I don't mind the darkness of FF. There are some shows where I get tired of that, but we watch enough comedies that I think it balances us out! It's a serious subject so the seriousness of it is justified, I think. I am just totally digging it! It is rare that there are so many shows that is holding interest and have characters worth investing time and emotion into. Rare, but awesome! We've never had a tv season that we've watched so many shows in! Phoenix...I agree that it was a bad show ending. DH and I just sat and stared at each other open mouthed for a bit after it showed the ending. ?! What?! That was it? I was disappointed greatly. ***Edited to add that our station is playing FF tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7 pm on ABC. Dh looked at the description and it says: Flash Forward 7 pm CST Mark, Demitri and Wedek try to connect Janis' attack with a seperate attack made on them. Air Date: 10-29-09 New. It is always on Thursday and it is a new episode. The former "Charlie" from lost has been shown in the previews. &

Actually Charlie Brown was on last night in our Market (not Tuesday night) but a certain werid thing that happens to me frequently kicked into my brain last night - my biological calendar was a day ahead! This is a phenomenon that I have experienced since I was a kid - always, it is one day, and always, it is ahead, when it kicks in. Poor Joe Fiennes. He is in even greater pain! Olivia for sure is going to push him into drinking, and he for sure is going to push her into ... having an affair? I cannot imagine a happily married woman going to a state where she can call another man "Hi Honey" within 6 months - but what do I know? I actually like my husband So, the scene between the two kids was really strange. How long was the Flash Forward that Mark's daughter Charlie had? She knew the guy whose name began with a set of initials - I forget that name now - was a bad man. She also recognized Dylan as a friend - what, her FF lasted two hours or something? Blue hands - wowee. Oh, and Ashley Jones playing the girl who gets seduced by Simon on the train? And Simon's FF? Simon himself? Very interesting and very dark indeed! I think they actually replay it here on Friday nights, but it's Halloween night here, which means candy for the kids and food/drinks for the adults, lol. Guess I'll have to try it on-line, I don't know why I consistently forget it on Thurs, I ALWAYS tune in for Greys. Anywhooo.....on another actor note, I've been liking the Chinese guy alot, lol, and who would I see on a episode of Charmed (which plays in repeats here in the morning) but him! He's cute!

He is really cute, and plays a very likable character, IMO. He gets good lines, delivers them well and effectively, very easy on the eyes - what's not to like! Charmed repeats play here in the morning too! I will find out which epi he is in, and see if I can catch it online. I end up always missing something in FF while watching it on the TV, so, I always have to watch it on-line to make sure I didn't miss some clue.
