Do you have other favorite shows that are never to be seen again? Mine are the Practice and Alias and I'm still missing them.

It is a long list. From recent memory:
Firefly Guardian Judging Amy Kings Eleventh Hour Without A Trace The Unit and so on ... And then there are some shows I never saw while they were in their run, but have watched since and am very sad that they are being canceled. For example, 'My name is Earl.' And then there are some shows which I cannot figure out how they came to be aired at all, ever, and am very pleased that they have been canceled. For example, 'Megan wants a Millionaire.' I am very pleased that two shows that I enjoy a lot have survived - The Mentalist and Castle Life is a mixed bag. I remember how upsetting it was when Mary Tyler Moore show and the Bob Newhart show were cancelled ...

I loved Providence, Ed, Thirtysomething, Third Watch, Jerhico to name a few that were cancelled too early for me. There are many others like ER that had good
long runs that I miss. Reruns are great to see a lot of cancelled shows--I love to see shows I'd long forgotten show up on one of the cable channels.
I also liked the way they ended Third Watch--they fast forwarded a couple years and has Sully ( a character ) narrate what happened to everyone--it kind of helped wrap up some storylines that would otherwise have been left in question and kind of left you with a peace, if you will, that your favorites will be okay in tv limbo land. Medium is also one of my favorite cancelled shows, but I am happy that it has been picked up by CBS for the fall. |

I was coming on here to say "Thirtysomething", oh how I loved that show, I just read the first season is coming out on dvd, I think tomorrow
(Tuesday). Loved ER forever, St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope, Friends, Journeyman (last year), Providence, Sisters, Family, Hill Street Blues to name a few,
I'm sure there's more, lol.

I miss NYPD Blue the most. I loved Providence, too. However, I was very upset that it went off because Melina K didn't want to do a show anymore then
turned around and made that police drama. LOL I miss Seinfeld, too. TI'm sure there are others, but those two I miss the most.

One of my favorite shows of all time was "Magnificent Seven" which aired about 10 years ago. Eric Close
There have been a lot of shows that I have hated to see go and some were not given much of a chance before they were axed. I'm so glad that "Castle" has been picked up for a second season. I watched a rerun episode last night and NF is just so cute and funny on there. I love "Big Bang Theory" and I'm hoping it sticks around for a long time as well. There haven't been a whole lot lately that I miss because network tv has been overrun by "reality" crap for so long now.

I have seen so many of my favorite shows cancelled, I almost hate to get involved in any new ones. I just discovered Monk and am loving it and have years to
catch up on. I loved Dr. Quinn and Chicago Hope. I watched ER for years, then it just got to whiney, so I quit. I am now into the The Mentalist, Castle and
Mad Men. Love The Amazing Race and a few other reality shows. I have only had one other soap cancelled.

Providence, Judging Amy & Third Watch were my favorites too.
Invasion & Surface, I was never into sci-fi but these were good shows. Studio 60-funny, I think it was just as good as 30 Rock. I was sad to see ER go, it's been on my must see list for years. |

Shelly, The Magnificent Seven was one of my favorites! Dale Midkiff was my man, in that one, although Eric Close wasn't too
shabby, either.
I miss Back to You, which I think wasn't given a fair chance. I also miss Shark, Judging Amy, Firefly, I'll Fly Away. Lots of good shows have come and gone............... |

Bayley,
I actually liked all of them. The cast was very well put together. Dale Midkiff was excellent as ladykiller Buck. I loved the last episode where the plump girl was trying to chase him down and he hid in the root cellar. I hated the way the series ended because we never got to see Chris and Mary get together and we never got to see Chris avenge his wife's murder. The last scene was Chris saying he would get the killer "next time" but there wasn't a next time. I've watched Eric Close in several shows since. I really liked the one where he was a genetically engineered body that they implanted someone else's brain into. Then I watched him in "Without a Trace" for most of its run, but I hadn't seen the last year's episodes because they moved it to a night that I was always doing something else. I hope he gets another show soon.

Carnivale and Deadwood! I'm still mad about HBO cancelling those two. Carnivale ended after the faceoff of good and evil. Both Ben and the Rev. were still
alive, but injured. What kind of ending is that!!??

I am missing NYPD BLUE the most I think. They had several different things going on in that spot that I think given a chance, could have made a go of, but they
just kept jacking around and only letting them go a few episodes. One was Blind Justice, with a blind detective that was just starting to get really good, IMO,
and another was about a group of Private Eyes, can't even remember who was in it but it was good as well.
I miss Firefly (even though I didn't watch while it was on, DH talked me into the dvd's and now I wish the story would have continued!), Invasion, Providence, and while it's still on for this last Season, I miss Monk already! I can't wait for Castle, Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother to come back on this season! YAY! ![]()

So many shows that I've watched over the years have been canceled. The ones that I still miss, off the top of my head are Veronica Mars and Stargate
Atlantis.
I like fruit and friendship, whatever- John Caparulo, Comedians of Chelsea Lately

Ah yes, the Stargates! I loved the Stargate SG1, but didn't think that I would like Atlantis at all....I did! I have every season of SG1, and we're
going to start working on Atlantis probably around Christmas! I watch the reruns of SG1 on the SyFy (crazy!) channel so I don't feel like it's gone at
all!

Dirty Sexy Money was a real favorite of mine. I just read where Defying Gravity was just cancelled and I never even got to see if it was any good. One web site
lists 85 shows cancelled, what are the networks doing, who is making these decisions?
