I am so very much enjoying this - I was thrilled to see Mindy and Danny and Michelle! And I'm glad to see James came, too.

It is so sad...but...it is more reminiscent of the what the BBQ used to be as opposed to other years. Good to see all of the old faces.

Absolutely bitter sweet, I cried during the whole show yesterday just about.....but am loving it at the same time....I hate hate hate that it's all coming
to an end, and I really don't want to watch Phillip die either.

I am loving it also. Aren't the Coopers usually there and where are Leah and her family? I was hoping Marina would come and see Danny again! It is just
so much fun to see all of them again. Danny and Michelle look terrific. The 4th of July will never be the same without seeing the Bauer Barbacue on tv. Dang

Where was Ed?? I thought he would show up after they already brought him back to diagnose Philip - and where are the famous Bauer burgers?????
Kind of unbelievable that they talked about this for weeks and Rick didn't buy any food!!! |

It was wonderful to see so many characters there and having a great time. Wonderful to see Michelle and Danny and also Mindy making it possible
to get a last picture of the 4 Musketeers. Of course, I loved Phillip's scenes and how he was happy at his last Bauer BBQ but no one knew it but Lillian.
I'm so sad that this will be the last Bauer BBQ that we will see! I'm loving GL and am so sorry it's long tenure will be over in September.
I've been watching GL for 51 years and I will definitely miss it!

I was so glad they finally had the Cooper family show up. I think nearly the whole cast was there except Jeffrey, Dinah and Alex. I got tears in my eyes the
last few minutes, knowing this gathering would never happen again. These people are sort of my extended family. Even though they are just characters on a
screen, we come to think of them as people we know. We want to know what happens in their lives, just as we do those closest to us. Sometimes I think we know
more about them, then we do our families and friends. With them, we are at the mercy as to what they want to share with us. The soap lets us know many
secrets about people, good or bad. It will be very hard to let go of these characters.

I merged the barbecue topics so we could all discuss together. I accidentally forgot to press the button on my big Bauer BBQ post, so it never got posted!
Wow! When Phillip was saying how this is going to be the "last" barbecue, I could not help but get choked up. This IS the last barbecue. This is something I look forward to every year. It is a big deal for us Guiding Light fans. And it is OVER. That was the last one. It was great that Daisy managed to get James to the barbecue. I was happy to see Phillip and James play a game together. Seeing the 4 musketeers together....Wowza! If that didn't get you, you haven't been watching long enough! Mindy looks great, she is obviously working out! Of course, we all know Beth is doing Kettle bells! She always looks great! I thought they did a nice job by having everyone join in with the speech instead of one person doing it. One thing I found weird about Otalia...why wouldn't Natalia tell Olivia she was pg? That seems weird. Those two are so close...why wouldn't she confide in her? She confided in Blake!! I agree with Nancyforever adn Lighthouse, it is hard to let go of these characters. When they said how "wherever our paths lead us, we are always a part of Springfield" UGH!!! I am dying here, folks! this is terrible this soap is canceled. My heart is breaking. I am going to really miss this. Plus, I will miss discussing it here with all of you fine people! Elizabeth |

Ok, friends........I am just sick - I totally missed Friday's show. We had gone to the lake and I was planning to watch it there but got sidetracked and
never thought of it again till lastnight. My son said it should be on You-tube? Does anyone know if I could find Friday's Bauer BBQ show on u-tube? Please?
I sure hope so. My 12 year old granddaughter couldn't watch it either and told me I had to watch it and tell her every teeny tiny detail and she's
gonna be unhappy when she finds out I didn't see it either. If it's on you-tube she and I can watch it there together. Help!

I can only find the Reva scenes so far on Youtube ... but cbs.com has both July 2nd and July 3rd up right now. So you can view them. Just select daytime in
shows, hit Guiding Light and when the site comes up you'll see the Finale clip underneath are full episodes click on the day you want.

Try hulu.com and put GL into the search window. They have many full episodes as well as clips. Not sure if they have Friday's show yet.

I was so upset when I came on here....I sat down last night to watch the Bauer BBQ and only had the first 10 minutes recorded.......we had a power outage that lasted for --get this--50 minutes! The whole west side of our town was out, and I was getting a hair cut and didn't stop to think that it would be cutting into my GL. GOod thing, I'd have been crying in the salon, how embarrassing! Now, i can watch it! Thanks again!
