Does anyone know when her last day is before she takes her maternity leave? It has to be awfully darned soon!

In real life, Jessica Leccia has already had her baby, iirc. So, she is on maternity now - I don't think we will see Natalia on the screen for much longer.

Thanks, Malar....I knew she had a baby girl - I was just wondering how long she'll be on our screens yet......and I wonder if she'll be back before the
show's ending date.

Oh, I understand now, Billie. I looked around for an answer to your question and found it in a recent Carolyn Hinsey column of June 26th, in an interview with
CC, where CC says:
The column's link and text are posted here in our Spoilers section. Edited by Malar to add Spoiler warning.

I kind of figured that Natalia would be taking off 'to think things through'. I wonder if we will see her again, or if this is it for her character.

I really wouldn't mind if she went away and took her bratty kid with her. They have never made the cut with me.

I never cared for the Natalia character either. It always bugged me that she used religion when it suited her, but not if it was against what 'she'
wanted to do. I had no respect for her. She was always wishy washy and could never make a decision and strung people along. She never had a firm hand with
that kid either. Mooning after a brat, does them no good.

I know what you mean, but I am so in love with the character of Olivia! She is so great! And with the thing with Natalia, we get to see so much more of O!
Natalia is so wishy washy, sometimes I just want to shake her! And now with her taking off like she is, I am really not happy with her! LOL!

I have always loved the Olivia character too. We have seen her go through a lot of men, but she is a strong woman and takes no guff from anyone. She has been
her most vulnerable with Natalia and this change has been awesome to watch. She never seemed as deeply in love with anyone else. Now she will probably blame
herself for Natalia's absence. Natalia is probably embarrassed for getting herself in this fix, as well she should be. After all it already happened to
her once!

I think it is the popularity of Olivia that is causing most of the interest in the Otalia pairing, not in Natalia (aside from groups such as Big Purple Dreams
being interested in any lesbian pairing on a network soap, of course).
Natalia is too new a character with very conflicting characteristics to be someone whom most long-time viewers of GL could cheer on, I think ...

I am not sure we can generalize like this, and I do feel uncomfortable with it. But I know I can definitely speak for myself. I like Natalia well enough, but I
have to admit, I do get annoyed with her at times with what seems like her inability to make up her mind. But I can understand her hesitancy to come out, I
think it is only normal, especially in her circumstances.

Well, there was nothing wishy-washy about Natalia this time around. She made up her mind really fast that there was nothing she could do to face either Olivia
or Frank - and left town.
I understand why she could not face either Frank or Olivia though - the very first time I had any sense of why Natalia was behaving the way she was. It is so deeply embarrassing to be in her shoes at this point, and I thought she explained it very well to Blake: "I am pregnant with the child of the man I didn't marry and I am in love with my best friend." How awful a predicament! Of course, it all depends on the angle from which you look at it, but I think if I were in Natalia's shoes, I would be mortified too. Poor, poor Natalia. Finally, I feel sorry for her. Poor, poor Olivia. And Frank: oh, poor, poor Frank. Poor, poor yet-to-be-born child. I hope that all of them get happy endings somehow!

The studio was closed Friday and Monday for the holiday. Natalia returns to work on Tuesday. They are taping about 4-5 weeks ahead. laura

It is cruel the way Natalia just took off without a word to Olivia. If I were Olivia, I'd be rethinking if this was really someone I wanted to spend my
life with anyway. She can't commit to anything.

I agree. I would seriously doubt someone I loved, that would just take off and not even let me know. It would further hurt that Natalia had confided in
Blake and not Olivia.

I agree. I cannot believe Fr. Ray told her to run away to think. Of course we all know that was so the actress could be on maternity leave. She could have told
O and then run away to think. Leaving without an explanation was wrong.

I just watched it and it's so wrong of her to have hurt Olivia this way. Olivia would have understood about her being pregnant and they could have worked
things out together. But, being the coward that she is, she takes off without an explanation. Very selfish of her not considering how this will make Olivia
feel.
