I just got into it, but I'm keep forgetting about it. If they want to approve GL and ATWT. Fired the writers, they seem don't know the history and they
ignored the fans what they want. I hope GL and ATWT stay on another to approve.

I've never understood how B&B can stay on the air regurgitating the same stories over and over and GL continues to struggle. Maybe they should try it
out in a half hour format like B&B. I will not watch CBS during that time if they pull GL.
I've just gotten use to the new format and was starting to like it now this news!

As I have said before, the network or whomever have not done enough to promote this show. I have taken that CBS Soaps magazine for around two years and I can
count on one hand the times GL actors have been on the cover. It's always B&B or Y&R people. Let's hope all this is just rumors to get
publicity for the show. Kind of a back handed way to get it though.

Lighthouse, I have to agree with you about CBS soap in Depth and that it why I quit buying it because it's always The Young and The Restless or Bold and
the Beautiful all the time. Few time GL or ATWT, but more it The Young and The Restless or Bold and The Beautiful all the time and I don't know it so
special about these soap, they always repeat theirselves all the time on the show.

Ahhhhhh---it's that time of the year when cancellation rumors once again rear their ugly heads! And it only takes one speculative article to fuel the
fires. The recent rumors are part "old news" with a dash of hysteria thrown in for good measure. Most of the "information" being reported
has been around for the last three years, including possible plans to replace ATWT and GL with other programming if/when the shows are cancelled someday. GL
and ATWT have only been renewed for a year at a time for the past few years in order for CBS/Telenext to evaluate what they ultimately want to do. The goal is
for both shows to make money and grow in ratings. But ALL soaps are in dire circumstances and drastically cutting costs in order to survive.
Technicians, supporting staff and actors are all sacrificing for their continued employment. If GL is cancelled, then ATWT will not be far away from next.
However, I think that CBS is heavily invested (in more ways than one) in trying to promote the show and keep it on air through 2010. laura

Earlier today As The World Turns exectuive producer Chris Goutman broke the news to his cast and crew that their sister soap, the 72-year-old Guiding Light has in fact been cancelled, according to sources. "The series will wrap this September," says one source. ATWT has reportedly been picked up by CBS for one more year.
