I am so nervous! The big boss guy really intimidates me for some reason. He is really high energy and hyper. (One of those marketing types.) I know it is so stupid. LOL. I am a FREAK! Ha ha ha. The reason this is so funny is that I have my own scare going on. I have had to wait over a month to get a mammogram over a little problem I am having myself (unexplained pain - probably nothing) and I think that this presentation is God's way of getting my mind off of it so I won't worry. LOL. My mammogram is on Thursday. I am much more afraid of this presentation than I am of my mammogram! LOL. Elizabeth Last Edited By: ElizabethF 01/27/09 19:37:34. Edited 1 time.

I do find it weird that it you would be nervous. IMO, you are the most confident person I've ever not met! (lol) You always come across as confident, full of life and energy. That being said, I know I could not give a presentation. I can't even speak in front of dh's family when we all get together. I can talk in small groups, of four or five, but anything bigger (and anyone other than family, close friends) I freak. I don't even like to walk up in front of the church to put my birthday offering in (we put a penny for each year in and the congregation--of about 58--sing a birthday blessing) and I've known those people for almost 20 years now! So I admire those who can talk in front of people. As for the mammogram, those are scary! After I had Sarah, I had pains as well as a lump. They told me that pain was a good sign that it wasn't anything "serious". After a mammo and a sono they found that it was just a subaceous (sp?) cyst that caffiene and salt was inflamming. But waiting was hell! I pray that you have a great presentation and that your mammo turns out ok.

LOL. But that meant I was able to finish early. They asked questions after every slide! It really went well and everyone was really interested in the subject. Also, on my last slide, I had several suggestions for improvements for this year and they liked my ideas and asked me to implement one (of course, it will be a lot of work! Ak!) I am so happy it is over! Thanks for all of the support!! Now I can concentrate on everything else! I am not worried about Thurs. because I don't think it would hurt if it was anything big. But I want to check anyway... Elizabeth

I've been wondering where the heck you've been and why you haven't posted much. I can understand, with the presentation and all. I'm glad it's over for you. I'm sure you did great! I hope your mammo results are fine. I'm sure they will be. In the case of mammograms - usually, having something painful is a good sign. It normally indicates a cyst or just fibrocystic disease (like Chris said, from too much caffeine, etc.). So, that is likely what you're dealing with. But, I will send up prayers for you anyway! They did find something and they may want to do a biopsy later but the initial results are that they don't think it is anything to worry about. So I am going to forget about it. I will tell you though, it is tough to get a mammogram when you have a pain! She told me she thought I had a high tolerance for pain. LOL. Wow! They did a mammogram and a sonogram, and they found something on the sonogram, but said it was probably benign. The sonographer said that sometimes they liked to do biopsies but the dr. said she was not worried about it. So we will forget about it. Cheers! Elizabeth

Good luck with getting a resolution to the pain/mammogram/sonogram issue. My prayers and best wishes are with you. If it is any consolation, I went through a situation like this a few years ago, and after a full two years of follow-up, it was resolved very nicely as being totally benign. As I said, I think we should all put it out of our minds. I am having my mammogram sent in from last year so they can compare the films and then if the dr. still isn't worried at all then I will completely forget about it. No one seemed worried, so I will not be. I think that is a good thing that I sensed that something was wrong. Even the dr. who I visited 3 weeks ago could not find this. JD had called my dr. and asked them if I could come in for an exam just to ease his mind because he was worried about me having that pain. So they agreed to give me an exam because I was having to wait a month for the mammogram. But she couldn't find anything... Everything happens for a reason! The management presentation was to freak me out enough to keep me from worrying about my mammogram which kept me from freaking out over my performance review. (My review was today, and it went well, thank goodness!) LOL. Elizabeth
