Yeah, so it wasn't such a great write off for Harley. But I can't stand Daisy and her constant whining, so I don't care, lol. When did Harley
abandon Daisy? When she was 16 and gave her up for adoption? To adoptive parents she still loves and talks about? Wow, that's bad. She might not have been
sitting on top of the girl the last year or so, but she hadn't abandoned her, impo. Daisy was (and is) a brain dead bimbo with a poor me and self serving
attitude. Harley did everything in her power to help her, when the writers chose to bring her back, and how did she re-pay her? She chased down the
uber-religious, self righteous mope and her thugboy with the pure intent to come between Harley and her husband. How dare she whine now! If it weren't for
her none of this crap would have happened.

Daisy does have the "poor me" attitude. I really don't like this write-off for Harley though.

So I guess this means we won't see that adorable little Zach anymore?
What about Rick? I haven't watched this, but have they showed Rick's reaction to this? I would think he would not be too happy that she is sending for Jude to live in another country. I think this is a very poor send off for Harley and totally out of character, but they hadn't been writing her "in" character for a couple of years. |

I'm having trouble scrounging up any sympathy for Daisy. Harley may not have been the best mother, but she did try.
As for the send-off for Harley, I think the writers took the lazy way out. They didn't bother to write a good storyline; they just gave up. |

I can see where Daisy feels abandoned. Her mom gave her up for adoption. When she came looking for her Mother, she sent her to boarding school. When she came
home from boarding school her Mother put her in jail. Then her Mom takes off with her boyfriend without even saying goodbye, or inviting her along. Daisy was
in trouble, and needed her Mother when Harley took off to protect Rafe. Harley is a shitastic Mother, and Daisy is troubled and delusional.

Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand. |

Harley didn't send Susan off to boarding school, Susan asked to go, Harley didn't want her to go. Also, the abandonment issue was a part of the
"Susan LeMay" storyline way back when, to my knowledge they had put that storyline to rest then, only to de-soras and re-name the character and give
us this re-do rendition. Makes no sense. IMPO, jail is where the chick belongs, she was party to a murder, now she's purjuring herself, she's a repeat
theif and liar, sorry, I can't find sympathy for her at all. Should Harley ask her to come over? Sure, as her mom, she should, the writers should have had
Harley ask for her and Dumsy turn her down and opt to stay in SF, easy peasy. Why they didn't? Well so they could trash the character of Harley just a
weeeeeee bit more than they already have, cause ya can't have any of her damn fans happy, dont'cha know? Kill em off or trash um!

What is realistic about it is that it is all about a man. IMO, though, they should have said she had been caught aiding a felon and sent to jail. It's not
because I want to see Harley in jail more than any of the other criminals on the show, but people ALWAYS get away with murder, even literally. If the actress
is gone and the character not ready for a comeback, why not take the opportunity to have someone realistically paying for a crime?

Good point.
Good thing thing that not many people are using soaps as role models! People would think that you could get away with any crime! |
