Harley? I saw this poll on another board and wanted to pose the question here. If "yes", then who do you think should take her place? Vet? Newbie? "No", how should they have her leave? Etc, etc., etc....Let's talk about it........

I don't want to see a new Harley,I want to see them "fix" her.
She has done stupid things before and come out smelling like a rose,They could do it again. I just don't see anyone else as Harley. |

I would not accept a re-cast of Harley.
After B.E. have played Harley over 20 years , that would be weird. And Just like I would not accept a re-cast of Harley; I do not want a Re-cast of: Reva Josh Billy Alan Jeffrey Alex Vanessa Lillian , Buzz , Rick and Frank |

Even though I don't like the Harley Beth is a great actress. I would be mad if they ever recast Alan, Lizzie and Beth also Lillian.

Didn't they have a substitute actress once for Harley when she was having one of her babies? I remember an actress being pregnant and maybe giving
birth, but it could have been on ATWT. Anyway, she was very good and slipped in to the role just fine.

The problem is not BE - she ROCKS ... the problem is the writing and the slaughter of Harley's character!!!! IMO

I, myself, don't like recasts. I don't like the new Roxie, I really liked the older, other Roxie better. She was cuter, less brown around the eyes, and
had more, better parts.

they already had a Harley re-cast a few years ago. I cant remeber her name I think it was when Beth was preg in real life or when she left the show 4 awhile

That Harley recast was only on a few days because BE went into labor or was having problems earlier than they had planned. She was not convincing as Harley at
all, IMO. I wouldn't call it a recast so much as a temp.

I said no way. Beth originated the role and has been on there so long it would be like them recasting Reva...it would take the fan base too long to accept it.
I'm not saying it couldn't happen. We, as GL fans are accustomed to getting used to just about anything. But it would be weird for me anyway. When I
first started watching GL: I loved Harley and Dylan...and then Harley and Mallet became one of my favs. I agree that her character isn't the same and
isn't as lovable as she once was. But I am crossing my fingers that they can make her more like the character she once was.

I have a hard time with recasts in general. Most of the time I gradually accept them. But not Harley. Remember when they recast Philip? Ha!

I voted I dont care, because I would accept a recast if they would write her better and found an actress who could fill BE shoes. THis is most likely a
daunting task. BE is Harley, no matter how pooly she was written lately. But if she is written badly still, or they find and actress who does a poor
interpretation of Harley, then no I could not accept her and would rather she just stay away ( once she comes back for her boys)
A few mentioned not being able to accept a recast of some of the main characters--I agree, but remember that Alan and Beth are recasts and so is Lizzie. All three are so accepted as who they are, it is hard to believe or remember that their characters were once played by someone else.
