I know someone who does, but hey I might keep for myself. Send if you want, but you know you could sell it locally or on Ebay.

Ok Shelly, they're coming your way! (on Friday when I can get to the PO) I know I could try to sell them on eBay but honestly, it's so much work to get
them set up and then the fees are high, if no one bids then the work and fees are still there and no extra room/$ for me......... Thanks for taking them, I
know if they are going to someone you know (or even you!) that they'll have a good home! Hugs~Chris

I had a big collection of Snow Village houses and stuff to go with it. I tried to use our E-Bay store here in town to sell it for me, but they said it was a
lost cause. They just aren't selling any more. Told them to give them to charity. I now have some nice shelf space. My husband has several Civil War
Paintings and they are worthless too. Just doesn't pay to collect anything I guess. My in-laws collected plates and they had to be disposed of. Glad you
found a home for your collection.

it depends on the timing and what it is. I used to make jewelry and I made furnace glass bracelets. They were so hot I could hardly keep up. Now I have noticed
lately that no one is bidding on them.
Look what I just got on E-bay. It is from the Bradford Exchange. On a whim, I typed Guiding Light in the E-bay search and this is one of the items that came up. It was a steal! (Normally $120.) The famous lighthouses of Pemaquid Point, Maine; Montauk, New York; Cape Lookout, North Carolina; Assateaque, Maryland and Virginia; Block Island, Rhode Island; Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and Highland Light, Massachusetts are captured in 7 handcrafted charms.

Ellie,
Ooh I love that. As you may remember my house is decorated with lighthouses. I love them. Beautiful. Loretta, My family buys me lighthouse/nautical stuff and UK stuff because they know I love it. My mother used to collect plates and I have some of them. My grandmother collected bells and I have most of them (I bought the curio cabinet she kept them in as well). Those things were collected because they enjoyed them, not really for any value. I also have shot glasses from most places I have ever visited. I chose them instead of plates because they are smaller. I can look at them and remember the trip where I bought them. I am a "stuff" person. I can tell you where most everything I own came from or who gave it to me. I have a lot of bear figurines too because my nephew gives them to me for my birthday and Christmas. I would have a hard time ever getting rid of them because they came from him. Someday I may be overrun with stuff and I suppose I will have to start weeding stuff out, but for now I am enjoying all of it. Chris, I will be looking out for them. They will probably be dropped off at my dad's if you are sending them by regular mail. My DBF says that if you are getting rid of stuff and have any electronics or tools to toss, throw them his way. LOL Like he needs any... Hugs,

The thing with this Snow Village stuff, is that the pieces are quite expensive. My kids thought it would be fun to start a collection for me, so I got a
piece every Christmas. You just hate to just give away a house or something that cost quite a bit. Same with my husband's paintings. Cost a lot to get
the print and have it framed. I know collecting things are mostly for enjoyment, but it is still hard to just dispose of them. I got rid of a lot of travel
things when we moved, but have collected a bunch again. It's always sad to know that the things you like and enjoy, no one else will.

Yeah that is sad. I have been to estate sales where there have been a lot of things that I thought "I wonder why no family members wanted that?"

It is very hard to give stuff away, we just simply have been over run! We are only giving away stuff we have bought for each other or ourselves (rather than
what great grandma or nieces/brothers/etc... have given us), and only to people who we know will treasure it or give it to someone they know to treasure. PM
stuff is pretty high! I kept a few hummingbird things from my Grandma's when she passed....she had SO many that we gave them to people who loved her as a
"momento" if you will. Everyone was happy to have them and the only stuff we sold at a sale was things that held no sentimental value to us or we
already had sets of (dishes, pots, silverware, bedroom suites, etc....) It is *very* sad to go to estates where the collectibles are all being gotten rid of
because you're right, you wonder why no family wanted them.
Shelly, does your dbf collect Star Wars? DH is getting rid of alooooooooooot of his stuff, and we're trying to be like they do on Clean Sweep or Clean House and only keep one or two things that mean the world to us. (Ok, so we kept like 10 or so things, but hey, we're getting rid of three or four times that amount!) No tools because as many as he has, you know, a man always needs what he has and more! Would you believe he hadn't even seen Star Wars until he met me? I am the Star Wars nut. I LOVE the original movies.

We were going through Michael's books to clear the shelves by dividing between what we will keep for his children (lololol) and what we can get rid of.
There was Star Wars book after Star Wars book. Most were easy reader type but there were some of the chapter books, but honestly nothing probably for anybody
over age 12. There were at least twenty though. So I'm telling my husband that we took five bags of books to Half Priced Books and was giggling at how many
Star Wars books there were. He looked shocked and said...YOU GAVE AWAY ALL THE STAR WARS BOOKS??????? He still isn't speaking to me.

Oh no, Julie!
(wouldn't hurt to have it on video
eitherr!) lol Mark took a trunk full of Star Wars books to the Thrift Shop. He had so many of them and had read and reread them. We kept the ones from
1970's that were of the first 3 stories released, but the rest, I'm happy to say will give someone else reading pleasure and made a large space in our
storage shed! Now we just have to go thru the figures, ships, mini's, etc..... oh, and I *think* mentioned something about my scrapbooking supplies,
but I'm not sure I was listening! In Support of Our Guy

Chris,
Did you ever mail the box? Did you have second thoughts? Do I have a mail thief?

I would never part with my Star Trek china. I have super F.A.B. cups & saucers from the Voyager series, too. SciFi rules. Now, if I can just get my hands
on a Tardis...
