Harley's finances |

I don't understand why Harley is so poor. Isn't she getting child support for both of her kids? And didn't Phillip buy her that house and give it
to her in the divorce? So she has had a job as a police officer the whole time, not paying rent and getting help for her kids...am I to understand she
doesn't have $100K in the bank? I find that hard to beleive! And didn't Daisy get life insurance for the Lemays when they passed along? Why does she
have to get money from Will to buy a car?

For the same reason that the Prince of San Cristobel had to sell cars. They make people lose and gain money for no reason at all.
What happened to Dinah's doctors' bills that she couldn't pay? Mallet was going to steal money to pay them and she leaves him. He would have still been liable to creditors since they were married at the time. The money stuff rarely makes sense. Phillip did destroy the house, but Gus built her a new one. She said something about a 2nd mortgage, so I guess Gus didn't completely pay for the house when he had it built?? Who knows?

Oh, I was spacing out, of course, this is the one Gus built. I have no idea what "second mortgage" means...You take out another loan using your house
as collateral? I think that is pretty dangerous!

That pretty much sums it up E. You take out a second mortgage based on the equity you have in your house. So say your house is valued at 150K and your first
mortgage is at 60K, leaving you an equity postion of 90K, you can sometimes get a mortgage based on that 90K. Should you default your first lender gets paid
first, second lender second and so on and so forth. Something like that anyway. They also can have a "line of credit" type thingy attached, where
they give you say 20K and leave you checks for more. It can be a scary proposition, although helpful if managed correctly. Equity loans are or were popular to
pay off credit cards for a while because while interest on a credit card cannot be deducted on your taxes, you mortgage interest can be.
I'm not sure why Harley is so broke and quite frankly if she is, she wouldn't have gotten the damn loan in the first place. Banks and mortgage companies don't routinely give out huge chunks of cash to people who have no visible means to pay them back and contrary to what's going on nowadays, they really don't want your house. |

Good point. Harley needs to go out and get a real job. This private eye stuff is not paying off for her. And Vanessa is not rich enough to throw money around
for nothing. I doubt she will be writing another check.

She could get her job at the police station back. Or pick up some shifts at company, or even clean rooms at the Beacon with Natalia.

I agree with ShellyC. Because it is convenient for the sl, I guess.
I have a silly question ... Would any of you hang pictures on drywall? Who decorates unfinished walls? LMAO! |

Oh, and I am ill over Cyrus trying to run a scam using Harley's daughter ... if Harley finds out and doesn't dump him, she really is
Springfield's worst mother.
I hope Daisy doesn't do it! |
