Spoilled Stupid Rafe! |
Lead | |
|
After Gus had passed away, Nat told Rafe he had gone. Then the idiot says he wished he had spent more time with him before he had gone. Weeeellllllll, he had
the chance didn't he, he just up and left where he could have seen him alive. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

I can't believe I am saying this since I cannot stand Rafe, but...
It is very difficult to be at the bedside of a parent when you know they may die. I have watched my mother die and my dad be in critical care for weeks. It is not easy as an adult; I can't imagine having done it at his age. Rafe should have gone in and spoken with his dad, but in my experience it is very hard for boys/men to handle that. Rafe has always been this tough guy kid who didn't grow up around his dad. While I think he should have gone in and he should have spent that time with him, I can understand how he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Yeah, I actually 'got that' too. It's very very hard to stand next to the bed of someone you love and see them fading away...it's torture
actually....so for a 17 year old that already has/had issues....impossible, but his Mother has never had much control over him...or she could have made him
stay...and eased him in there. She should have.

I don't think Rafe had much love for Gus anyway. He always seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about Gus not being there, even though Gus didn't
even know about him. It could be that he never really looked at him as a father. Rafe needs some kind of guidance in his life. He is always so angry and
selfish. It was a hard relationship for Rafe to accept. Rafe probably didn't realize that Gus was hurt as bad as he was, or being a kid, didn't
really think he would die.

Rafe is 17...even if he had the best home life and close relationship with his father, he may have had a "chip on his shoulder." That does not mean he didn't care for him...it's teenage angst. Imagine just meeting a father and then suddenly losing him...that seems like it would be hard to deal with and face. I totally agree though that he probably thought he'd always have more time to spend with him and did not really realize the seriousness of the accident. |

I think it was kind of realistic...I've seen people just miss their chance to say what they need to say. Sad but true, it gave it a more
"real-life" feeling.

I wanted to hit Rafe when he said to Dasie Gus died because i missed meeting him and i was selling fake IDs with you or something in those lines. I bet he ends up blaming her . ( I am 2 episodes behind right now so i dont know if he is acting out on her) Dasie even asked Rafe if he wanted to go meet up with Gus. |

I think that kid blames everybody but himself for anything that goes wrong.
I don't really care that much for Daisy,But she could probably do better than that spoiled brat. (or maybe not, there doesn't seem to be any more young guys in the picture) |
