Let me get this straight... |

This new town....Peapack, N.J. And the new sets. Are they anywhere NEAR each other?? Also, aren't other actors besides RPG, going to get tired of driving
to the middle of nowhere in Jersey to film scenes? I mean, GL was filmed on a set in NY. Now, it's filmed on sets....where? I don't know how far away
that town is from NY but it still has to be a pain. I wonder who else might jump ship....or retire.

I think I read they were an hour from NYC, and you are correct, it is filmed in Peapack, NJ. I think a lot of them live in NJ so maybe it's more
convenient? Maybe they have a location bus or trailer where hair and makeup are done, which would make it easier but I'm not sure.
Here's the Ellen Wheeler interview from CBS.COM which explains how they picked the place and so forth.. (I think it's been posted here already but I highlighted the part about Peapack in red. ROSE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Friday, February 29 is a momentous day for those at GUIDING LIGHT. After months
working to create the new digital model for GL, viewers will get to watch all the action unfold for the first time. CBS.com caught up with GL Executive
Producer Ellen Wheeler to discuss the changes and how GL will still be the same show we've loved for over 70 years.

Peapack is not in the middle of nowhere. It is a lovely little town a few minutes from where I live.It is convenient to Rt 78 and an easy ride from New York.
The cast doesn't come out all the time. They shoot all the scenes at once every so often. I feel the outdoor scenes give the show more realism. Now if
they would improve the writing and stop destroying the characters it would be all good.

If the could just get the lighting and the sound better I would be 100% on board.
Don't act like there's no tomorrow, you should use that pain and sorrow to fill you up with power, life's both sweet and sour.

I actually am enjoying the outdoor scenes. The town looks like one I would like to visit, some time. I'll bet it's beautiful in
the fall.
