Ricky Paull Goldin, who is leaving GL after a seven-year run, won't be on the unemployment line for long: AMC has confirmed that he is headed to Pine Valley as the new Jake Martin. Jake, last played by J. Eddie Peck from 2000-03, will be back on-screen by April, says a show rep. For the Jake uninitiated: The character is Tad's brother, a doctor, and has a romantic past with Greenlee.

This would be enough to make me start watching again.
I loved Rebecca Budig as MIchelle but I also loved her as Greelee Smyth, I stopped wachting when she left, but now that

don't want him and greens....i never could really stand her...i did like the recast...and all that.....but now that rebecca's back...i'm mostly back to not being able to watch greens... i loved her and aiden..but now that they're having her going back to ryan and maybe zach...and any man in between...the character's lost total interest for me. i don't see this actor and rb either..... not too sure who i'd like to see him with in the show right now....wish that they could bring on someone totally new for him..... suasn

Goldin announced last week that, after seven years, he had decided to leave Guiding Light. On the record, Goldin expressed a desire to find new career challenges. However, Guiding Light insiders tell soapcentral.com that Goldin was unhappy with his character's waning storyline and equally displeased with the 71-year-old soap's new production model.

This is great news...I regularly watch AMC...here we get it at 1:00pm...or on Soapnet at 8:00pm..I think 1:00 am, and 7:00 am. Plus the Saturday afternoon marathon. I love it so many chances to watch is great with having small children. I so wish GL was on Soapnet.
