But, our experience went beyond expectation. Luckily, the people sitting in front of us told us that they heard that the Idols were planning to sign autographs after the concert at a nearby location, adjoining the stadium. So, we actually left the concert right before the group number to get in line. We were so lucky! We got up against the fence, which meant we would be the first row for autographs! We had to wait a little over an hour after the concert, but each Idol came out separately, put their stuff on their tour bus and came to the area near the fence. By that time, fans had gathered 5-6 rows behind us. Needless to say, we got every Idol's autograph and pictures except for David Cook. He never came out.
Not sure why? My daughter was over the moon! She got David A.'s
autograph and we took a few pics of him (although they turned out rather blurry). I asked him if he would lean in for a picture with her, but his bodyguard
wouldn't let him take any pics
He apologized and said he could sign
autographs only, but we could take pics of him while he was signing. She was majorly disappointed, but I told her that she should just be ecstatic that she
was standing about 6 inches from him! She got to touch his arm! That was pretty thrilling. He's adorable. They were all very gracious and nice. Brooke
was just as sweet and nice as she was on TV. My friend got to hug Michael Johns, her favorite (I thought of Frances (yellowrose) when this was
happening!!!!!). She asked if she could hug him, and he said "sure, but I'm probably pretty sweaty!) She told him she didn't care! My daughter
got her pic taken with Syesha. Not sure why some were allowed to take pics and others weren't. I heard some say that David A.'s dad is majorly strict
with his interactions, although we heard that he had taken some pics earlier in the day with fans? Could also be that they were on a time schedule to leave on
the bus. He had so many people wanting his autograph, it was unbelievable. He is truly the most popular, and the most screamed for!!! You could hardly hear
him singing for all the screaming girls! He was also the only one that had a bodyguard right beside him the whole time. I never cared much for Jason Castro,
but he was the nicest guy in the world! One of the girls behind me was totally in love with him. When he came through the line, I let her up front so she
could touch him! My friend asked him to put the poor girl out of her misery and take a picture with her. He leaned over the gate, put his arm around her and
took a picture with her cheek to cheek! Then, he gave her a kiss on the cheek and told her how happy he was to have met her! It was so awesome and she was
thrilled to the gills. Syesha told my daughter how cute she is. It was such an amazing experience. Just wanted to share it with everyone! My friend
probably has some better pictures. If she e-mails them to me and if I can possibly figure out how to post them, I'll try to share!
