I just read the news tonight and was absolutely floored. I started watching the show again when Philip returned and it's been pretty good. Sigh.......it's hard to believe there will actually be no GL. I've been watching since high school and that was a whole lotta years ago! So, so sad.......

Its very unfortunate how the TPTB and CBS already had their minds made up. They feel it is better to just let go instead of trying to revive it. Also, they TPTB didn't follow what the fan base has been saying for the past year to two years. The should have evaluated the writing staff and done a complete overhaul. The actors can only act out what was written, and the fans saw it but P&G didn't, or refused to. It just shows that they were not interested in what the fans had to say....

I am so heartbroken to hear this.....I have been going to school to try and get a new job after losing mine due to the economic mess......so haven't had the time to pay attention much...but have just been watching when I can and glad to see Grant back, and the stories getting a bit better, now this......I can't beleive it....I feel like getting sick right now.

I am devistated. As a loyal fan for 30 years...GL is the only thing I do for me! I have even gone to NYC for the past 4 years to be a part of the fan club weekend. I leave my kids w/ my hubby for the few days and enjoy all the events. I am too sad for words. I so hope another chanel will pick us up and keep our light shining.

I actually get it at 10:00 am here which is awesome b/c with the later time slots, for me at least, it runs into picking the kids up.

I haven't given up hope either I think people can make a difference... sometimes it' that squeaky wheel you know!! I'm going to continue writing and calling hopefully they will see all of us who do watch, and understand we are still in it for all it's worth!!

I really think the success of the show depends on the time slot and moving from the less than supportive CBS.
Y&R is good but it's success has to do with that in most markets it's on during the lunch hour, many lunch rooms have it on and I use to leave school to go home and watch it.
Friday Night Lights contract just got extended two more seasons this week, that show was so close to cancellation before a writing campaign and Direct TV picked it up to show early before...

This is ROTTEN!!! Cancel Bold and the Beautiful! Change GL to 30 minutes. Do not put another dumb Judge show on in it's place! What could they possibly replace GL or ATWT with anyway??? This stinks and will probably KILL my grandma! I am so very mad and sad at the same time.

well, poopy...i was hoping that show stayed on longer..it gave me some hope that we could persuade cbs to keep the light.

They only produced seven more shows for Jericho, then cancelled it anyway. Apparently they didn't get enough new viewers to keep it on the air. I fear that is the same with GL. Unless they can be assured somehow of getting new viewers or getting old ones back, they will cancel it. There is no way to know about viewers, so I expect GL is a goner.

I hope they see the outcry and realize no matter what the "ratings system" they use says there is a huge fan base that wants GL and the light to continue to shine!!
